These Days - Ayo: A rip off?
 

So there is this completely ripped off chorus in this song (and title). Is this acknowledged anywhere? Anyone know this singer? It's bizarre to hear a Richie riff shadowed in this style.

Yeah I can hear it, doubt it's intentional unless someone involved with the production of this song is a Jovi fan.

No idea who Ayo is. Just stumbled across them as I was looking for new music on Grooveshark.com

Ayo is a German soul singer. Do you know Erykah Badu? I'd say Ayo is a more chilled less funky version of Erykah.

It's an open and shut case, but for all we know the linear notes on her album credit Bon Jovi.

I wonder if What Do You Got has a single note that is the same exact note as a note used in a Joe Satriani song? Joe would sue ;)

That is what I was wondering, more or less, is if BJ was mentioned in the liner notes. I don't really have a problem with her ripping it off; bon jovi rips tons of stuff off, I just think this is pretty blatant.
