ooking for a bit of help guys with the Dussledorf and Mannheim shows
Right guys, basically i'm after some help. I'm looking a going to both these shows with them being three days apart etc so i thought i could go to Dussledorf see the show, spend the next day in the city and the day after travel up to Mannheim.
But i was looking at flights and Dussledorf has three airports so that was the first thing that i was after help on, which is the one i'd to arrive in and secondly i looked for flights from Dussledorf to Mannheim but couldnt find any so i was wondering whether there was a decent rail site anywhere? i had a look myself but couldnt find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
Aloha !

The main airport for Dusseldorf (code DUS) is the one to choose, the others,eg Weeze where Ryanair fly to is miles away .. I got Manc to Dus on Lufthansa for £49 one way,all in,
cheaper even than Jet2 from Leeds .. services from Mannheim Airport are very few and expensive, lot better to use the train .. why don't you do Zurich too,Air Berlin £50 one way DUS to Zurich, then you could come back Zurich-Mannheim on train, just a thought .. |

Probably the cheapest way from Dusseldorf to Mannheim will be by car. There are german sites where people can offer seats in their cars for others to join them on their drive. http://www.rideshare.co.uk/ or maybe more chances on the german page: www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de You should be able to come from Dusseldorf to Mannheim that way for about 15 €. I use that service on a quite regular basis from Heidelberg to Freiburg, always works well and is way cheaper than using Deutsche Bahn trains ;) |
