Bon Jovi in Ellen

A brief FYI.

Jon interviewed talking about the usual, great to still be with the band because they are friends, voted one of the sexiest men alive and he joked, they put me in the senior section. Not very enthusiastic talk about the GHII, he rectified Ellen saying that is not #1 in USA... duh!
Great (I really liked that) the mention about his restaurant in Red Bank, the one that people pay if they can or help if they don't. That Dorothea and Stephanie help out, his dad cooks and he does dishes when he is around, well... may be they do.

They only sang What do you got. Sometimes they sing more and they play it later on if somebody wants to check it out. I don't need to listen to any more of the same, so this is it for me. Another day, another promo.

Listen at the 10 second mark, it's like there's no drums! I am really sick of this song now, promowise. It's not fun anymore. It's best place is in front of 10's of thousands of screaming fans in an arena/stadium.

That idea for the restaurant is cool, though. Of course, though, it is the JON BON JOVI Soul Kitchen. I get that he wants his name associated with it, but not in the title of a restaurant, OK? This isn't cable.

I don't know if they did on TV, I totally forgot about this and when I turned it on, Ellen said that Jon was next, so I saw the interview, the one song and then was the end, if they played before that I have no clue, but as I said I had already enough Bad Name.

Yeah, it aired on tv as well, just saw it on my Tivo. they played Bad Name at the start of the show. And yes, most tv shows like Letterman, Leno, Ellen, etc. tend to sound watered down and awful. The drums sound completely lost in the mix. I'm guessing the show is pre-taped and they alter the mix of the sound, making it a bit more "lite" if you will.

Don't know what's more boring, WDYG or the umpteenth performance of Bad Name.

Jovi on Ellen

I really liked the interview on Ellen. Jon actually seemed relaxed and happy to be there. Of course it was the same 21 year marriage B.S. but at least he sounded sincere. He poked fun at his picture in People Magazine and remembered not to take the credit for the "idea" of the restaurant. The sound was a lot better than on the American Music Awards and the audience was enthusiastic for a change. He did sound a bit disappointed that GH was not number one in "America", but at least he acknowledged that fact.

I actually thought WDYG sounded better than on the other shows. It's never going to be a song with any excitement to it, but I thought Jon sounded much more comfortable with it. As far as Bad Name goes . . . a real Jovi crowd makes all the difference. It isn't the same without US!

Do you have a pic of him in People mag? I don't think I've seen it.

For Aussies, watch Gem at 12pm (which has passed) or 5pm for Jovi.
