CNN Heroes Tonight

For those done with the turkey, and still awake LOL, this will be a great inspiring show to watch, 8pm EST.

Aside of the many celebrities appearing and talking about their charities, they will also feature those real heroes that deserve special recognition.

Jon of course is included because of the JBJ Soul Foundation, and the band will perform WDYG. I know that they are in the promo "tour", but ST would have been more fitting, don't you think? After all that's why they wrote it, no....? ;))

Have a happy turkey day!

WDYG seems pretty appropriate as well, at least to me.

I watched the whole show it was a good show ...not at all about bon jovi as I thought it could be and I loved it for that
Anderson Cooper made a joke about loving bon jovi for along time with a nasty photo of him .
The band performed WDYG with no problem but IMO the 2 other group of performers were more relaxed and also then better in the performance ( I don't like sugarland style of music but that woman has a great voice! ....)
I loved the heroes awarded on that show ...it was a very good program

I DVRd this show since I was in NYC when it aired. I'll watch it tonight.

I am so very surprised we got so little comments about that program ... maybe no one was watching ... even on other board or on FB it's the same
People are all busy on Thanksgiving they probably don't watch tv much

I'm not a fan of awards shows in general. I find them quite tedious to watch. I watched part of this one just to see Bon Jovi's performance and found it to be much better than your typical awards show. They were honoring real people who do stuff that actually matters.

People were busy with Thanksgiving and today with shopping (any good deals? LOL), perhaps later there will be more comments, mine included because I had no time to watch yet.

This is one of the very few awards shows I was looking forward to see, and I knew it was not about Bon Jovi at all, they (and Jon) were just part of the bunch, but we tend to put too much emphasis in famous people, because all the press that goes along with it, forgetting those true heroes that dedicate their lives, or go out their way to help others, not seeking fame or a way to deduct taxes (generally speaking).

I'm also a bit surprised by the lack of comments on this CNN show. It aired in Canada too and we're not on a holiday and it was also on in Europe. I think for the most part people have lost interest in the "other" postboard and that's why there's nothing over there. Back in the day there would have been a long thread a few short hours after something had aired. Now there's barely a mention and it's unusual to have more than 30 people on the board at any given time.

Anyway, I thought the CNN show was very good and those 10 people truly are heroes. I teared up several times throughout the show and I'm not an emotional person. It was a treat to watch something like this over crap like the AMA's the other night. The musical performances were secondary on this Heroes show, as they should have been. I managed to miss Bon Jovi though because a friend phoned at the same time they took the stage, so I can't comment on their performance.
