Official December 11, 2010 - Etihad Stadium, Melbourne, AU thread

Predictions, previews, reviews, and rants all go here. The last time the guys played in Melbourne (I have yet to spell that word right on the first try) was the night before (Dec. 10). It was a very nice setlist, including Dry County.

The setlist was as follows

Blood on Blood
We Weren't Born to Follow
You Give Love a bad Name
Born to Be My Baby
Lost Highway
Whole Lot of Leavin'
When We Were Beautiful
Runaway
It's My Life
No Apologies
We Got It Goin' On
Keep the Faith
Bad Medicine / Roadhouse Blues
Lay Your Hands on Me (Richie)
(You Want to) Make a Memory
Diamond Ring
I'll Be There For You
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead / Start Me Up
Raise Your Hands
Have a Nice Day
Who Says You Can't Go Home
Livin' on a Prayer

ENCORE:
Always
Wanted Dead or Alive
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night

They MUST play BOBITA in this show.

I would still like to know why there is sitting area infront of the standing area. I am in the prem sitting seating infront, but think it's odd to not have standing first??

Standing wasn't even originally planned. It's just the way the Australian seating has been organised by the promoter. You don't have to understand, that's just the way it is. There will still be thousands on people on the normal stadium seats including behind the people standing.

European shows are better it has to be said.... and a hell of a lot cheaper.

They had better sing Never Say Goodbye. Might need a banner requesting that because they probably won't include that on the set list!

Just wondering whether the roof will be open or closed for the start of the concert?!? If it were open and it began to rain do you think they would shut it mid-concert?

Closing the roof is always possible unless they bring a stage like U2.

It takes like 20 minutes to get the roof completely shut so I'm thinking they wouldn't do it mid-concert.

BTW, my journalist friends just got a press release that the first 30 minutes of this show will be streamed live from 8pm eastern daylight savings time. The presser also names No Apologies as the "new single out now".

EDIT: And here's a link: http://www.getmusic.com.au/artist/ne...2335&aid=17868

I've been checking weather reports for the past week to ensure it'll be sunny. It should be around 22 degrees on Saturday night, and rain is not expected. :)

Do we have any idea who the support act will be? Are we going to get in the stadium and be surprised?
