Support acts for upcoming dates?

Does anyone know any of the support acts for the upcoming shows, i cant seem to find any info on it. Specifically the MSG Shows?

There's been nothing about MSG yet. It doesn't look like they're using one band for the whole leg. So far, an odd collection of local acts and friends (Lorenza Ponce, Billy Falcon) has been announced for a few shows. They're also doing competitions for some slots. They can't be much worse than Dashboard Confessional was last year, but I wish they'd just skip the opening act entirely. Bruce has the right idea, if you ask me.

I saw in a local radio station the ad for bands to try to win the opening act spot. I think is great to give them the opportunity, but it looks like I won't need to rush to arrive on time.

I love it when they give local unsinged talent the oportunity to open for them, even if most of the time they do suck. I'm usually among the handful of people actually interested and giving them a chance, while most just go elsewhere. I remember at the Metallica show, a local band went on before Mastodon, I was I think one of 5 people at the arena not booing them  I just clapped at the end of each song with this face kinda like "you go man, you're opening for Metallica and they're not, Rock it!!!

They should let their fans pick an opening act.

Best regards,

I agree with Terri, they should skip it and be on stage at the approximate time. Bruce does that and I've seen people like Melissa Etheridge not use an opening act until very recently.

Lorenza as an opening act? Does she even have her own music?

She does, her newest release is Soul Shifter.

Eh, I like opening acts honestly. I mean granted, they suck most of the time, but I like seeing bands get a shot to play a building that they're no ready to headline yet. Honestly, I think the only reason Bruce doesn't have openers at this point is because his management knows it's so ingrained in the die-hards that he doesn't, that they'll revolt against anyone. Helping out younger bands seems like something that would be right up his alley.

I like the setup of having a local band then an established band supporting. Like when we had competition winners then Nickelback on the HAND tour. That way we get to hear a new band as well as an established band with songs that we have heard of and can enjoy. Plus its better value for money to get more entetainment for your ticket price- and for me the chance to enjoy acts like OneRepublic and Kid Rock that I wouldn't necessarily go to see live.
OneRepublic especially were very good at The O2 and certainly made me discover their music more.

If Jovi were to do a longer set instead of having a support act it would be great, but we know that wouldn't happen.
