hyde park tickets - delivery methods

I'm looking at getting my hyde park tickets now from Ticketmaster and I can see that one of the delivery methods is to print your own tickets at home, has anyone selected this method? How safe do you think it is? Coz the way our post has been lately I am thinking of choosing this method as at least you know you have your tickets and they won't get lost in the post! I'm assuming that the tickets will have some sort of number or bardcode to stop people printing more than one copy!

yes, they are just the 'e' equivalent of a paper ticket, they have their own barcode which will be scanned at the gate, used them a few times now,you can also save to your hard drive for printing later ..

I chose the print you own option as I didn't want to risk any chance of them not getting to me by ordinary post. (no secure delivery offered) I had to wait a few weeks for the tickets to become available to download, but I bought mine on presale. I recommend that way as it seems a bit more secure. I don't anticipate any problems on the day.

Thanks, yea I ordered them now and used the print at home method. Have to wait til i get email to print them off tho, but still better than getting them posted insecurely!!

I've used the "print your own" method several times, it's very safe, reliable and convenient!

I printed mine off no problem today. I never actually got an email but I logged into my Ticketmaster account and they were there. Each has a separate barcode that can only be scanned once obviously.

Got this from Ticketmaster just now:

Dear Ticketmaster customer,

This is an important email from Ticketmaster regarding your booking for the Hard Rock Calling Bon Jovi event at Hyde Park, London, on 25 June 2011.

The venue has informed us that the gate time has changed from 12:45 to 12:00 and the event start time has changed from 16:00 to 13:45.

Your tickets remain valid and all other details are unaffected.

If you require any further assistance, please contact us by clicking on: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/h/help.html

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
This in reality makes no difference as it was always going to be an all-day festival so they cocked up with the initial timings. Hopefully that means they may be near announcing the rest of the line up. I'm puzzled as to who else would play the other days given that there are already loads of bands playig Hyde Park in the summer.

There was a Facebook message from the organisers on Monday saying that they would be announcing the Sunday headliners within 10 days. Christ knows.

Ticketmaster just phoned me with an automated message as per the above info, with sincere apologies if affected

It's not like the date has changed or anything, I had Take That tickets for the gf and they moved the whole date from Sunday to Thursday just to make more money, and I found out on Facebook of all places!

I have chosen this method - I always go for the e-mail / print your own tickets whenever possible. As you assume, they do have a barcode. :)
