Show Attendance

From Billboard, here is the attendance for most of the first leg of 2011.

so total attendance for 15 shows = 257,872

The Mohegan show attendance seems really low to me. It's a small arena but normally the attendance is well over 10,000.

The prices are strange for MSG, too. For most venues, it looks like they're showing what a front row package cost, followed by the price for the main floor/lower tier, followed by the lower prices. But for MSG that second price should have been about $300 rather than $600. The floor and the lower bowl were expensive, but they weren't THAT expensive!

My guess is the pit reduces the number of seats they normally have on the floor.

I'm guessing they are as reliable as the information that is provided to them by the promoter. No matter how anyone views the information it does provide a gauge.

lol Deb I am teasing you .. You noticed yourself there are some issues here ...I didn't post the results nor commented on those until you noticed that Mohegan should have had more tickets sold but we talked about that many times the sold out thing is highly debatable term ..
Didn't Jon said we are in a club here so let's make a club alike setist

Oh yes, Mireille, I know. I think everyone knows that sold out is "marketing" by the promoter but like I've always said, even if they set a super low "capacity" this still shows the "attendance" in relation to that, and that's the number I really look at not the sold out number. And even the "attendance" number is not 100% as most of the time if the capacity number is reached they just match it, which also means that the attendance was most likely higher than reported.
