prayer opening the show - any video?

I thought it would sound better as the opener, but to be honest, it sounds WAAAAY better at the end of the show. They need to warm up. The "whoa oh oh"s are back, though. :)

I wish they would bring back the alternate melody and the Little Wing ending.

I loved when they opened with it in Central Park. :D

It was great last night. Not trying to be critical in any way of the person filming, because I'm appreciative of all their videos from the Chicago shows. But the sound on Youtube doesn't do it justice at all. Jon and the band sounded fantastic both nights in the United Center. Great place to watch a concert.

As did I Terri - it was the perfect song for that place & time.

too bad the band didnt catch up with jon and ended it way too early.. no "that's all!" and no little wing outro... ggrrrrr

Uggh, I'm just not a fan of it opening, AT ALL. Never have been.

I agree with you and Terri. I saw Prayer as the opener at Jones beach. I know they opened with it at Camden that same summer.

I second this. It should be played later in the show, closing the main set, or the encore. Maybe elsewhere in the set after playing two or three latest album cuts. Energy wise it doesn't have much effect since this is one of the songs that is played exactly the same at every show since it's played to a click track. Maybe Jon's movements are what makes the difference where people percieve it as more or less energetic?? Dunno....
