I don't usually start a PBP thread but when I saw this, I just had too. On the official web-site for the venue, across the ticker page it says Richie Samora is not performing with Bon Jovi Friday There Are No Refunds due to his absence.

I wonder if someone will be foolish enough to ask. The last time they played here was 2005 on the Have A Nice Day Tour. If Richie was here I'd hope for a better set list than what they played in 05. Anyway, edit the thread as necessary.

Wow..that's interesting! I was at the show in 2005 and will be at this one!!

I'll be going. The one thing I won't be doing is making my "Hey God" sign like I originally wanted to.

I have such mixed emotions but I have to tell you knowing that it won't be Bobby "subbing" (and I mean no disrespect to Bobby) I feel better about it...............still going to miss Richie but at least we have a competent person in his place.

The only song I don't think I can bare to hear is Wanted.

I really have to laugh at some comments about how there's no magic with Phil. Did you really expect there to be magic? the guy played one show, played well and that's all I can expect at this point. No one else can duplicate the "magic" that Jon and Richie have and I honest don't think Phil is trying to do that, we need to cut him some slack.

In the back of my head I can't help wonder (and I desperately hope it isn't) if this is the last time I'm going to see them as a group. Would Jon be willing a few years down to line to tour and risk this happening again if Richie can't manage to stay sober??

I can only imagine how difficult this must be for Richie and hope with so many people supporting him, that he is successful and really gets to the bottom of his issues this time around. Kuba was correct, his dad did die in April (20) and his divorce was finalized in April also so for Richie, April is a bad month all around.

I am Brian but from Brooklyn. I am getting the train to Hempstead and probably taxiing it there unless I have enough time to catch the bus.

I'll be getting into Westbury about 5:30, and cabbing it from there (coming from out East)
