Thunder Road

is the best song ever obviously.

[I reserve the right to backtrack on this statement with Neil Young songs or "September Gurls"]

Nope - no backtracking. Your first statement is correct - best song ever :)

asok80 05-05-2011 06:47 PM

Absolutely awesome!

I prefer Badlands, but yes, amazing song.

Jim Bon Jovi 05-06-2011 12:46 AM

One of my least favourite big Bruce tunes.

Emil 05-06-2011 01:08 AM

Yeah, well, what else is new?

:)

Thunderstrucker 05-06-2011 02:16 PM

Whole Lotta Rosie is the best song ever written but TR belongs in the top 10 too, oke? ;)

I salute you,
TS

It's RIGHT up there I'll give you that.

Funnily enough out of all Bruce material I actually think 'Paradise' my favourite song. Then again there's 'Racing In The Street; and 'Jungleland' - epics.

hometownboy 05-15-2011 03:57 PM

Absolutely fantastic song and easily in my top 10 :D

Really - why Jim? I'm not so fond of the original version of the original album but some of the live versions (and some have even been released) are just undeniable.

Original album version? PERFECT! Wall of sound. Brilliant.

The sound is outdated though - very compressed and anal sounding. The newer remastered version does sound better though.

I've always prefered the numerous live versions to the original. I think the magic of the song is far more evident when done live, as with a lot of Bruce songs.

i could stay here all night talking about Bruce. I've been a fan for 2 years but during my first year as a fan I felt like I had been a hardcore for 20 years. Never experienced such thing with ANY artist. and yeah thunder road is among his finest, if not his finest ever. but then again they're all good ! :)
