Is Richie doing a song on the current leg? Sorry, am a bit too lazy to go through the actual threads but it seems like he isn't....hopefully I am wrong.

He's not. And frankly, like I said in the other thread, if it's a choice between LYHOM, IBTFY, or no Richie song, I'll go none every time.

Up to now he isn't no. I believe the most he has had is sharing I'll Be There For You with Jon as I think he's doing the 2nd verse but whether or not he's done this on all shows on the current leg so far I don't know.....

Richie has been put on the naughty step for drinking too much from his bot bot.

That's a shame, especially considering the quality of Jon's vocals (as in Jon sounds like total shit!)

Do you guys have any idea why? Is it some kind of "punishment"?
Since 2006, it's been always one of the top 3 moments of every single show I have seen. Sad.

Ain't got the foggiest. I find it hard to think it's some kind of punishment as his 2007 rehab stint didn't stop Richie doing a solo song on the 2008 LH dates. I'm with Crushgem in the fact I'd rather Jon did LYHOM and IBTFY but I would love to hear his version of Homebound Train.

I think it's less punishment per say, and more Jon singing IBTFY and LYHOM has become part of the standard set, and someone (Probably Jon, but I doubt only him) thinks that anything else Richie sings will lose the crowd.*


*I'm not saying I agree with this, at all. I'd love for Richie to bust out HT again, or SITT.

Some people (who have been to the recent shows) have made comments that Richie's voice is really not up to singing solo right now.

I have no idea how accurate that is but I have seen comments about it.

I have been hearing the same thing also regarding his voice. It could be Richie himself. He might not be comfortable with singing a solo song. If it never stopped during the LH tour, there must be a reason why it's happening now.

Hearing Richie do Homebound Train at the O2 was amazing, but as someone else said at the time, it scared the casuals ( too heavy) that is when the place cleared out by about 50% as they took a toilet/bar break. Such a shame cos he really rocked it. So yes I am afraid you may be right about losing the crowd. Stranger would be awesome if his voice was up to it, although unlikely, but possibly one the casuals could bear to sit through lol.
