A post about a certain song concerning this tour
 

That song is 'Lost Highway'.

I want you all to remember that this is the 'main' song from the album and many of us will share the feeling that every album should be represented (obviously not the case).

So...with that in mind...please enjoy your shows everyone and smile when the wonderful 'Lost Highway' is played. It could be a lot worse and couldn't really be much better. LEARN TO LOVE* it.

**This topic has a point. Do you agree that every album should be represented? Some people might not think so as there may not be a big enough hit for one album e.g '7800'. This is a Greatest Hits tour and every album has had a 'defining' song, I guess?
But mainly it was just to defend 'Lost Highway' again. :) Think of me when it's played and my cute face doing the 'hey, heys'.

I think every album should be represented. Every album but 3 usually is, and those are 7800, These Days (until this tour), and Bounce. Make Only Lonely and Tokyo Road regulars from 7800, have SFTP acoustic stick around along with These Days, STBI, and/or (IH)LYG, and have Undivided, Misunderstood, and/or The Distance represent Bounce. Bada bing, bada boom, every album is represented and diehards can be happy.

And about Lost Highway. I like it. It's probably my second favorite on the album, behind Any Other Day. I'm just sick of it. It needs to be dropped. Now I'm not saying forever, but make it a song that they only play once every three or four shows. That would be much better. And for god's sake, don't open with it!

And I did indeed, see what you did with "Learn to Love". Very punny.

I don't think 1 song per album HAS to played every night. I think at least 1 song off of each album should be a regular though, if you follow me.

Crushgen - I definitely see your point. I think the only album they'd be unwilling to make a song a regular from is 7800. They've rarely touched that album since the respective tour. A shame as I love it. :(

Nice post. I think Lost Highway is a great song and I know Jon and Richie are proud of it. I hear it fairly often on the Pulse on SiriusXM so it's still getting airplay in North America. I don't even hear It's My Life on the Pulse ("2000's and Today") and it was inescapable on the radio in 2000. I like all the Lost Highway songs that get played regularly in concert.

I don't want them to open with it, it's been done on the LH tour. I can just about live with it heavily rotated in the main set. There are better songs on that album though like AOD and The last night .

If youre up this late and reading this forum please realise there is probably only one person at the Manchester show tomorrow who wants you to open with Lost Highway.Please ignore him.(Theres probably not that many who would miss it if it didnt get played at all!)
I personally dont mind the song but there are a lot better songs in your catalogue that get ignored year after year from all your albums......I could go but I cant think of anything else to say.;

I don't mind Lost Highway being played; in fact there are very few songs where I would mind! The way I see it, we've all got our preferences on what songs we want to hear and while LH may not be the highlight of my night, somebody else will have truely loved hearing it which makes it alright by me.

Not sure about every album necessarily being represented each show, but I do find it strange that In & Out Of Love isn't played more often. I'd imagine it would be reasonably well known with most of the audience, if only because it's on Cross Road rather than anything to do with 7800.

I don't mind Lost Highway. I like the rockier version from this tour more than when Lorenza was on tour. However, they added that extra little bit in for a couple weeks on the Circle Tour that they've since dropped, they should do that again.

It should NOT, however, be an opener on this tour. It opened practically every show of the LH tour and worked fine THEN. Even more shows than BOB has opened on this tour. It's fine as the 5th or 6th song of the set, just not the opening song.
