Show Security

hey, i was looking back over my vids from Manchester and i have realised that when Jon goes onto the cirlce he gets down to touch some lucky fans hands. but what got my attention is the staff around the circle look like venue volunteers and have no or very little security training. what would they do if someone was stupid enough to pull jon off the stage? how far away are his security?

Venue security is hired through agencies and have varying degree of training (it doesn't take much to be a bouncer tbh) but the ones that get down the front are usually the longer serving ones that know how to handle trouble if it arises.

His security, which includes his brother Matt, is right down near him as well.

You,d get jon off the stage before the security could even blink... However you would then get jumped on pretty hard and i wouldnt like to guess what would happen to you after that .....

I don't think you can pull Jon down that easily, "his" personal security walk right below with him, those other security stay in place, but their are not there to control the fans more than to take care of Jon.

I've had a bit of experience with this - well ... not with causing a security issue with Jon - lol - but watching other fans do so, and with witnessing the aftermath.

Also, is it just me, or has security greatly increased at the Bon Jovi shows since the Lost Highway tour?

Sorry, I digressed, but I've had the fortune, of being, very close to Jon, at a few shows, and I can assure you that he does not depend on venue "security" to have his back.

He and the band have their own security, not just his brother Matt, but professional security, who are well prepared to deal with anyone that causes any sort of an intrusion, into Jon's and/or the bands' personal space.

(IF Jon or any members of the band do not want that "intrusion".)

All Jon has to do is give a "look" and it is taken care of, immediately. I honestly don't know how he does it, as it's barely recognizable, most would not notice it, as it's usually quickly removed from the big screens, "the incident", that is - or whatever one wishes to call it.

I could give you, examples, but I don't want to bore the more long term members of this board.

Just, trust me, Jon is very well protected - it's discreet - and does not involve venue security, (directly), most of the time.

I wonder if we will have another stage jumper in Ireland, this week, like shown in this vid :
(Stage jumper incident starts around the 2:35 mark.)

Ahhh ... that was only allowed to *continue* because Jon saw an opportunity for a little - show - of sorts ... trust me - all he had to do was give the nod - and that woman/girl - would have been escorted off of the premises.

;)

Ah he didn't mind that one lol and who can blame him. 'Helplessly "attacked" by a pretty girl' - every mans dream, though he'll deny it to the death ;)

Edit, sorry I don't know why for a moment I singled out the married ones :D
