i hate this bloody conservative policy. ALL HEIL TO PIRACY

I don't consider something like this to be piracy. I know it is, but here's my feelings:

If something is not made available to purchase to the public, then it's open season. Clearly, neither the band or record label intends to make money off of certain things.

Like with movies - Downloading a movie in theatres or available on home video = Piracy. Downloading a movie not in theatres, not available on home video, or hasn't been released on home video in years and therefore is impossible to get = Not piracy.

If labels or studios want to make something available for me to purchase, and I want it, then by all means, I'll purchase it. If they want to be pricks and either not make it available or nearly impossible to get, screw 'em.

I couldn't agree more.

This. I understand the rule for the safety of the board, but there are tons of other websites out there that share this type of stuff that DON'T get closed down. It's really a lose-lose situation.

i was being silly really. But I DO THINK bootlegs should be made available more frequently. that's what pop music was all about, spreading/copying bootlegs of your favourite artists. all of a sudden people are now releasing their studio albums for free but can't stand the idea of people spreading their bootlegs. this, being a forum, should be more open to the idea of spreading the links to bootlegs of Bon Jovi.
