"Fortunately, we have a week off. So the doctor claims I'll be alright for Istanbul eight days later. I can't dance anyway, so it's not gonna hurt anybody."

we don't want you to dance either Jon, but we sure like to see you jump about like a motherfu*ker so if you're compromising that... erm...

Doesn't seem to have affected him too much so far - he commanded the stage on Saturday like the rock n roll general we all know and love. He's seems in pain at times, but he's battling through it. Also helps that Richie is like a man possessed on this tour and is obviously keen show to people his recent 'slip' hasn't affected him - he's on absolute fire and playing better than I've seen in years, with great stage presence too.

I'll retain faith - he was dancing around more than I've seen him in years at Bristol on Monday.

I was amazed at how active and how much he moved around the stage last night. There wasn't anything really noticeabley different about his stage presence last night. If anything it led to some funny moments with his skull cane!

Actually, I don't think he's completely honest with what happened to his knee. If he really had the injury he claims he has he'd never be able to bend his knee or hop around on it. Not even with the strongest painkillers out there.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I have to agree with you on that one. My mum is a surgery nurse and after I told her what kind of injury Jon claims to have and she saw the video from Treat Her Right in Bristol she said that there's no way he'd be able to move around like that with such an injury.

Maybe so. I've never experienced that kind of injury so I couldn't possibly say but I did think at some point why is he even wearing the brace? It's not like he's keeping his knee stable. Still, there must be an actually problem or he wouldn't be going under the knife.

Probably partly for show to pretend there's something that wrong with it and partly to keep his knee as stable as possible for the actual injury that did happen. I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with it, but everyone who ever had the injury Jon claims he has or who knows about these sort of things says it can't be what Jon claims it is.

I admire your tendency to see negative things about everything involving Jon, but come on...

From 3:25

You can see that it takes more effort for him to move. Off course you can say that he's faking, but he's in a middle of a song and I see no reason for him to do that. And that interview is probably a week old or even older and if it is, then at that time he was probably in a worse shape than he's now.
