The Circle Tour (2010/2011) highlights
Well my friends, here we are, it seems that it was just yesterday when Bon Jovi announced they would do a two year tour, visiting places they haven't visited for a long time ... And now there are only four shows left and we'll go into their very deserved break.
Now that the tour it's (almost) over, I think it would be nice to remember the moments we lived throughout it. So use this topic to remember a magic moment for you (a song they performed, a history of what happened with you at a concert, whatever you feel is special enough to be remembered). Post videos, tell us about it ! As for me, this was the first tour which I followed being a member of Jovitalk, and all I have to say it's thank you for entertaining me so much ! I'll sure miss the PBP's during the next years ! Cheers ! Eduardo |
One highlight for me out of many as a fan of the E-Street-Band for sure was the tribute to Clarence in Horsens. It was beautiful.

Key Arena, Seattle, 02/19/2010 It was the official kick-off of the Circle Tour, and I had no idea what to expect. We all know that those first shows of the tour had a lot of surprises, and the first major surprise that night were the songs from the first two albums. I'm not a huge fan of "Bon Jovi" and "7800F", but I think that Roulette and Shot Through the Heart are two great songs. And now I realize I'm among the few lucky ones who got to hear those songs live, since Jon completely dropped them for the rest of the tour. Therefore, this will be always remembered as a special treat. Cheers Eduardo |
I'm pretty sure we've already had this topic... multiple times...

I love this topic :)
For me it was Sydney Night 3: It was raining all day before the gig, the sun came out about 15 mins before the boys came on stage and lasted until about the jukebox section of Bad Medicine. Then it started to rain and absolutely started pissing down when Jon hit the long note in Hallelujah, it was something really special to witness. The crowd was insane and I remember thinking that Night 2 couldn't be topped, but I've never heard a crowd so loud in my life. The band was drowned out during Blaze Of Glory, It's My Life and Livin' On A Prayer, the reaction to Dry County was the loudest of the night and the boys didn't lose the crowd once. The setlist was spectacular as well, I never expected to get I Believe, Thorn In My Side, Blaze Of Glory, Love For Sale, Something To Believe In, Happy Now, Dry County and These Days in the one set. The whole band was is great shape and Jon's voice was unbelievable, especially as this was the third show in a row! Setlist: 1. RAISE YOUR HANDS 2. YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME 3. BORN TO BE MY BABY 4. WE WEREN'T BORN TO FOLLOW 5. I BELIEVE 6. THORN IN MY SIDE 7. BLAZE OF GLORY 8. IT'S MY LIFE 9. NO APOLOGIES 10. WE GOT IT GOIN ON 11. CAPTAIN CRASH AND THE BEAUTY QUEEN FROM MARS 12. BAD MEDICINE W/ ROADHOUSE BLUES 13. LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME -- RICHIE ON LEAD VOCALS 14. HALLELUJAH 15. WHAT DO YOU GOT 16. SQUEEZEBOX 17. LOVE FOR SALE 18. SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN 19. HAPPY NOW 20. SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT 21. I LOVE THIS TOWN 22. KEEP THE FAITH 23. DRY COUNTY 24. WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE 25. LIVIN' ON A PRAYER 26. THESE DAYS Amazing vocals in Something To Believe In: First and only performance of I Believe this tour (So far!): Hallelujah in the rain: |

Key Arena, Seattle, 02/19/2010 As I said before, the songs from the first albuns were a shock for every die hard, but it was kind of expected, since the band also played them in Hawaii. But for me, despite the crazy songs they played this tour (Santa Fe, Mystery Train ...), the Circle Tour will always be associated with Richie Sambora's rendition of Homebound Train. It's not a song that I love, but it suited him perfectly. I remember Jon saying: "Richie Sambora is going to sing you a song" and I thought" Here comes IBTFY again ... But no: "this is something from the album New Jersey that Richie has never sung before: It's called Homebound Train". It's a shame that the casuals didn't seem to appreciate it, hence the song being dropped in favor of Lay your hands on me. Here's a video of the song (performed the night after) Another jaw-dropping moment was when the full band joined Jon in the circle and I heard the chords of Something for the Pain. It's a great song from a magnificent album, and the acoustic version is nothing short of spectacular. Whenever I hear someone talking about the Circle Tour, this songs will always come to mind. Truly great ! Here's a proshot of the song as it was performed at the NMS. Cheers Eduardo |
