Bon Jovi - Wembley Stadium
Why dont they play their anymore ?
Are they still miffed the stadium wasnt ready when it was supposed to be and they couldnt be the first band to play there ? Thoughts.... |
I personally think it's down to the way the stadium is owned and run. I suspect the Band/promoter would have to lose some control over catering, etc and there's probably a huge overhead for security and hiring the stadium too.
Doesn't worry me too much being miles away in Yorkshire! I'd prefer they played somewhere more local to me. Be amazing if they would come back to Sheffield again. Must be getting on for 16yrs since they played at Don Valley and I'm sure there were around 50,000 there that day! :D |
Jon was asked this at the Q & A last year in London and he said he doesn't know. We had to ask the manager. He still would play there.
|
Didn't Bon Jovi management try to sue the Wembley owners over the whole cancelled show incident?
There's bad blood there anyway. |

Im sure they would have played there this time but for the Take That tour taking up the time they wanted it for. I guess they could have swapped the german and UK dates around to play there in June, and the UK in July but obviously the rest of the leg wouldnt tally up for whatever reason. Or HRC could have been the plan all along! I would hope they would play there again in the future, as its a really good place to go- plus I like the way they have done GA as being either standing or unreserved Level 1 seating. It works well for the best of both worlds. |
Wembley is shit for concerts.
|
Maybe the Olympic Stadium will be an option in the future.

Would they be able to fill Wembley? Twickenham was only half full.
