the reason why the diamond ring was absolutely bollocks

this is what can be heard on the diamond ring of Lisbon last night:

get that ? me neither. barely anyone is singing the words. it's all just people with cameras and girls screaming their asses off at the sight of jon shaking his bum. I'm not criticizing anyone for acting how they want to. i just gotta question myself, do any of them really know the lyrics or the music ?

this sort of goes to show how crap the whole 250 euro diamong ring thing was: posh fans and silly VIPS from all over europe.

Same here. I was thinking, "They didn't even play that track in Lisbon." LOL

The DC was bollocks for more reasons than just that believe me.

In the words of (I think) a radio dj presenting the opening band in Dublin 2: 'It's not the mosh pit, it's the posh pit'.

It's an absolutely ridiculous idea to have the €260 whatever pit, however I did pay for it in Dublin because I knew i'd only be able to go to the one show. Wouldn't do it again and wouldn't join backstage either....but....It wasn't at all as shit as I thought it'd be! that however might be because a Dublin audience rarely sucks... ever!!

The dinner and lame competitions weren't anywhere near awesome enough for that kind of money even though the food was nice and all that, could have gotten it cheap as hell at some restaurant. In Dublin there was nothin wrong with the atmosphere in it though, almost everyone sang along to every word etc..
So my point is I guess, terrible idea and they should get rid of it, but it was worth it the one time to get that close to the stage. Next time i'd defo go for GC close to catwalk though. I just wish they'd go back to a all same price standing area, and whoever wants to get up close goes there early to que!! This has been discussed quite a bit obv but yea, thats how a rock concert should be organised.

although not all DC was like that in Lisbon, i couldn't have asked for a better crowd where i was standing. everybody was clapping, jumping, singing, even air guitarring :)

Its not just in the DC where you find the "chatting" fans, they're found all over as I have seen over the past few years.
