Tour Grossing Figures and Attendances?
Does anyone have any information about the grossing figures and attendances from the different legs of the tours?
I am putting a booklet together with all the setlists and song played counts etc and would find this information useful. Thanks |
The best you'll be able to do are the pollstar reports - the 2010 annual top tours and the 2011 first half both have the tour listed with total gross, average attendance etc (just stick in google 'top tours pollstar' and the year), breaking it down further may be possible on weeks when they've topped pollstar weekly charts but for more you'd be in for a bit of a dig to get the figures as they won't be posted online.
Of course, you may be able to get reports for individual shows as well where local news has reported from the venue and/or local promoter. Good luck ;) |
U2 just wrapped up their world tour as well on Saturday. I suffered through one show (nah...it was kinda cool). RollingStone reports:
The two-year tour played to 7.1 million fans and grossed a record-shattering $736,137,344. |
according to an email i received from bj, in the UK this tour they played 16 shows in 4 cities with a total of 359,974 attendees

Did you all get a "free shipping" code as well with Bon Jovi and the flag of your country flying behind the band? :p
Something like this? http://cdn.sparkart.net/bonjovi/imag...-canada-v3.jpg |
No. Free shippings seems only to be for USA and Canada.

So far 990,715 in attendance and $95,588,121 in gross without July last shows included are Dublin http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/chart...ntboxscore.jsp

Pollstar reported that Bon Jovi had the #1 tour of 2010. That means the U2 tour would have had to make $500 million in just 7 months. That's BS. |
