I remember hearing him introduce them on a bootleg from some show from 98. Completely forgot about it for ages though.

going just on memory he introduced them as "the Kookaphonics" at one show and then on another date he referred to them as the "Vampire Lesbian Kookaphonic Band" this was a decade pre-Twilight mind you :)
might have to dig out those DATs and CDs again
ah good times

Last night Richie tweeted he was not in the studio because they were making the first mix of the album!

Yes!!! :onfire:

This is great news!!! He says he has already written 13 songs for this album, I'd like to know if it will be released worldwide or only in certain markets, but he has not stated anything about it (yet).

His last albums came out worldwide. Why should it be different this time?

It's unknown what kind of record deals he has or if he's signed to a label. He may just put it out in places he know it will sell. Hopefully not.

that's right. For example, Darren Hayes (savage Garden's front man) recently signed with Universal Music and his last album within this label was NOT released worlwide, it was just released in the USA, some EU markets and certain Australasian markets, and let me say it Darren Hayes is (or at least was) a superstar in the world of music. I'm affraid it will happen the same with Richie's new release u.u

I hear ya. Richie's only cache to the public is being Bon Jovi's guitarist. Harsh but absolutely true.

Slash tweeted he is doing his final mix for his 2nd album on Monday and that has a May release date. Hoping Richie is able to turn it round in a similar time frame - get it out and support the release with a few summer festival dates. Hard Rock Calling as a support act for Springsteen would suit me just fine!

He had this to say via Twitter: "10 new tracks at least. Comin as soon as I get em mixed. Might write a couple more just to see what I got left inside me...."
