Johny, you’re not alone at all. I am also very happy to see Richie happy, he looks great, fresh and healthy. That is very uplifting. I also haven’t checked those damn snippets and never will. I will wait for the release of the album too. There’s no greater feeling than having a brand new CD in your hands and listening to every single note for the first time, song by song. Especially from the artist one admires. Richie’s album is the thing I am excited in this whole year the most and I can’t wait to hear it – in its entirety!
The thing is, that negativity spreads much faster than positive thinking, and it’s much easier to criticize too. Funny thing is, that it’s already criticized, while the album is not even out there. How can someone make a judgment at this point is beyond me. Negativity is loud, while the positiveness is standing quiet on the side. It doesn’t mean it’s not there. Here’s something to think about : „Haters are losers pretending to be winners”. And that’s what we’ve been experiencing in this thread for the last few days from a couple of people.
But to tell you the truth, I don’t give a damn about it. Like I said, I don’t think in the last few years there has been anything I was so excited for as I am for Richie’s solo album. I can’t wait to hear his solo efforts after a decade, that actually led to the darkest moments of his life. I am glad he’s got those times behind him and I just feel he will express all that in his new music, lyrically and musically – and will begin the new bright chapter of his life, as a musician and as a person. And I will welcome anything he offers with open arms. It’s his album and he can do whatever he wants with it, whether it’s BJ like or something totally different. Whatever that will be, this is something that is in his heart right now, and that’s more than enough for me.
