Because I have the booklet in front of me. Well, parts of it, thanks to Richie's brilliant idea of that listening party 2 months before the album is supposed to be released. I'll be posting scans of them later on if I'm allowed to do so.

That said, I was wrong though, You Can Only Get So High was co-written by Taupin. I overlooked it. But the songs leaked will not all end up on the album, there's about 20 songs recorded and World for example hasn't made the final cut. About 8 of the songs are co-written by Ebbin, 2 with Desmond, 2 with Shanks, 1 with Taupin and then 1 by himself. It's hard to read because the pictures of the booklet I got are heavily watermarked.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

So how different (in number of songs) will the leaked album be from the final one? or at least the album as it was intended when the booklet you have was printed?

How is that the original order when World isn't even on the final disc? Nice try but you don't have the same information I have.

That said, I'll be hearing soon if I can post the more detailed information.

That's the order/file names as it was posted on Soundcloud.

samboraisgodUK 06-30-2012 01:51 AM

Walk Beside You is a grower.

Savvi 06-30-2012 05:47 AM

I've completely missed the hype of the leaked version because I haven't had a stable computer for the past month.

Is it still going around? If so I'd like a PM pretty please x)

No, I've only listened to Seven Years Gone and Every Road Leads Home To You. I don't see the point of listening to the songs now unmixed and with no idea of the order in which they'll appear on the album.

Nope I haven't caved yet! Although I wouldn't mind hearing these after the album is out to see how they match up to the released record

Thunderstrucker 07-04-2012 10:08 AM

I'll wait for the final release as well before listening to any of the songs. Analyzing it to death before it's even released and had a proper listen is quite sad in my opinion.

I salute you,
TS

Interesting, posted today:

"Luke and I doing some home recording"

More for the album?

Same here. Apart from the samples in may, I haven't listened to anything yet and I won't until it comes out. Sometimes I hate the internet... but I get better in refraining from temptation. ;-)

Wow. Gone for a week and a half and all this new news. I'm retaining some self control till the album is put out and/or a single is released. But can anybody recommend what they think is the best song of the bunch? I may have to take the plunge on just one song.

7 days gone is a corker, good slow build up then gets a cool riff to rock it up.

Nowadays is also good, reminds me of the wildhearts a liitle

I felt the same as you and decided to go with 7 Years Gone. Even though I haven't listened to the others, I can't imagine there'll be a better track on the album. I really don't think it's an exaggeration to say this is one of the best songs to ever come out of the wider Bon Jovi camp.

Its a great track, the best ? im not sure. When i first played the record i was a bit miffed and thought its a bit crap in all honestly, but the more i play it the more i like it.
Probably in the minority here but i think " roads lead home to you " is probably the worst the worst song, its your safe, radio friendly track which doesn't really go anywhere in my opinion.

One track is the same chord progression as " lie to me" think its track 9. Rest of the album has some gritty rockers and some ballads with some nice build ups.

TwinFan 07-05-2012 07:30 PM

OK, so I just listened to Seven Years Gone. It's pretty good.

Nah, I wanted to listen to one song, just to see whether it's worth looking forward to. I'm done now though. I've never been a massive fan of Richie's solo work, so it's easier to have restraint as opposed to new band material. For me, at least.

eddie73 07-05-2012 07:36 PM

Sod it play the whole thing, i still reckon some of those songs wont make the album. I have heard on the grapevine there is a song called " You got the ring, i got the finger " wonder what that's all about.

Hmmm, don't really understand how you know this stuff but I can confirm this.

I'm kind of sad to say that I may be in the minority here but, as opposed to what others have been saying that the album has been getting better the more listens it gets, for me it's the opposite. I feel it doesn't really have much replay value :-/, there's a few songs like 7 years gone, Learning how to fly and you can only get so high' that grabbed me, but still, that's 3 out of 12 I have.

Could be about his divorce, i bet Heather kept the diamond rings, ripped him off cause he got them on credit, so he got his middle finger and flipped the bird.! Not sure what else it could be about , does sound rather interesting though:confused:

One of the best. I certainly don't think it's the best song ever made, but I really would put it up in the same category as the classic Bon Jovi song like These Days, I'll Be There For You, Always, Dry County etc. It's so beautifully written and perfectly crafted, it has meaning and a genuine emotion to it, the chorus is soaring, and it's powerful. It moves me each time I listen to it.

To me, it is an incredibly good song and typical of great Bon Jovi songs.

Have any chords popped up yet for any songs, mainly Every Road Leads Home to You?

Not yet but it looks like that this will become the first single so they for sure pop up sooner or later.

Album Release been put back to 18th

Quote:

Happy 11th of July everyone!

On this day - a few years back - our brother Richie Sambora was born! A rocker since day one, Richie is now preparing to release his upcoming solo album entitled Aftermath of the Lowdown on September 18.

To celebrate Richie's birthday, we're giving you the exclusive first listen & free MP3 download of the first track from the album - over two months before it hits stores and a full 24-hours before the rest of the world!

samboraisgodUK 07-11-2012 04:53 PM

I wonder if it the free download is any different to the one we already have since it's been mastered...

It sounds a little better due to the mastering. On the first listen I can't find big changes though.

I agree that it sounds clearer, with a better sound but it is the same material, not a different version ... it's 8 seconds shorter

Captain_jovi 07-11-2012 05:03 PM

It's exciting that the quality is better. The album being pushed back could only mean changes are being made so I'm getting excited again.

Jovimimi 07-11-2012 05:26 PM

If the cover of the album is official I must say I love it .... The release date pushed back is a good thing ?
