We MIGHT still. We have to see how Paul's Mom is doing which will determine how much time we can take. Paul also just started a new job and that is a time factor too.

Tickets booked for Manchester :D

Just bought a ticket for Milan night 2 (couldn't get tickets to the first show cause it sold out in a matter of minutes).

Honestly I'm not a Bruce diehard so I'm not sure how I will handle the full River thing, but anyway I'm already looking forward seeing him in San Siro for the third time. :p

So they canceled the Greensboro show due to the "bathroom-law": http://brucespringsteen.net/

What do you guys think about it?

Although his intention might be honorable, I'd be really pissed if I had tickets for that show.

Well, if you been listening to the lyrics he wrote for about 40 years now you will know what kind of person he is. It is as he wrote:

'Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them. It is the strongest means I have for raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backwards instead of forwards.'

If I would have had tickets I wouldn't be happy with the show being cancelled but I would respect the reason.

I salute you,
TS

I agree -- on such short notice, it borders on being self-defeating.

BruceSpringsteen.net:
As you, my fans, know I’m scheduled to play in Greensboro, North Carolina. As we also know, North Carolina has just passed HB2, which the media are referring to as the “bathroom” law. HB2 — known officially as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act — dictates which bathrooms transgender people are permitted to use. Just as important, the law also attacks the rights of LGBT citizens to sue when their human rights are violated in the workplace.

No other group of North Carolinians faces such a burden. To my mind, it’s an attempt by people who cannot stand the progress our country has made in recognizing the human rights of all of our citizens to overturn that progress. Right now, there are many groups, businesses, and individuals in North Carolina working to oppose and overcome these negative developments.

Taking all of this into account, I feel that this is a time for me and the band to show solidarity for those freedom fighters. As a result, and with deepest apologies to our dedicated fans in Greensboro, we have canceled our show scheduled for Sunday, April 10th. Some things are more important than a rock show and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them. It is the strongest means I have for raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backward instead of forward.

But think of how much "stronger" these talking points would have been if he'd made them from a North Carolina stage -- especially since he's better situated professionally than The Dixie Chicks. And he could have donated some of the proceeds from the concert to help the "freedom fighters!"

Exactly what I would have said but you beat me to it. I have literally listened to Bruce's lyrics for 40 years and this stand of his doesn't surprise me a bit.
