I'm the same way. What do you think so far?

Very different record musically, a lot of seegar sessions influence, and awesome as always. Easy Money, LOHAD, and Death to My Hometown are my favorites so far.

Totally agree! awesome. Must listen a few more times before I can make up my mind what I like best at the moment. LOHAD sounds great of course

Wow, I didn't realise it had been totally leaked.

Bruce won't mind if I take a little listen :p

On first listen I'm impressed. There's only been two tracks that I haven't instantly liked (You've Got It and We're Alive)

It's such a mix of different sounds and is very dark in lyrical tone. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard rapping in Rocky Ground, but it worked.

Wrecking Ball (the song) is an instant classic, I almost cry every time I hear it :(

Listened to this a few times now and has to be said it sounds awesome. So different and so far away from rock n roll yet it still has that same feel. I love We are alive, though could do with it staying just an acoustic guitar. Hopefully it will get that treatment live. Also anyone else think it sounds a lot like southside johnny and or stevie at the start of LOHAD?

I quite like Easy Money but the beat feels a bit like We Will Rock You from Queen and I can imagine fans will clap their hands to the drum beat that way (not that it bothers me).
Also the melody in the violin strikes me as familiar. Just cannot recall from what song yet.

Still a nice tune :)

I salute you,
TS

p.s.
Jon isnt copying Bruce nor the other way around. It's just influences they both work with and it results in songs that might look related but aren't. If you accuse them of copying you can also blame blues-artists for copying eachother while the blues-line is just how it is in the songs. One chord follows the other in a melodic way so songs will sound the same but in the end they aren't. They just have the same build-up (Read: foundation).

I am in awe - in the true sense of the word. I never expected the album to be so good - I was looking forward to the new tour. Wow - how nice - what a gift.

Going to be a good boy and wait for the release. It's not very often an album comes out that I actually look forward to and plan on buying these days so I like to keep it a surprise.
