Bruce fever is building here in Gothenburg...the newspapers have articles every day now regarding Bruce and the band, and the music starts rolling in already on Thursday with Against Me (w. Jay Weinberg) play at West Coast Riot and at the same time there's a Nils Lofgren sort of cover band show in town as well and the organizers will be selling Nils newest album there and is trying to get Nils to sign a few copies as well...oh yeah and the queue started a couple a days ago for the shows on Friday and Saturday....

If you guys have time, below is a tremendously insightful article about Bruce. Quite long but a very enjoyable read. Got a small Sambora reference in it:
"I noticed a few young Spaniards carrying a sign, in English, reading, “Bruce, Thanks for Making Our Lives Better.” I tried to imagine a sign like that for—whom? Lou Reed? AC/DC? Bon Jovi? (“Richie Sambora, Thanks for making our lives better.” Doubtful.)" :P Anyhow, enjoy: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2...?currentPage=1 |
Thank you for the link. I added to my bookmarks for when I have the time to read it!

I thought it was quite funny. In a way it was just acknowledging how big Bon Jovi are. Nevertheless, they are not Bruce. It only took me one Springsteen concert (and I don't even like the songs that much) to understand for myself. The guy just puts it on paper. |
