Two epic shows here in Gothenburg! First night steaming hot and really mix-up set list. Second night torrential rain before the show but just before Bruce hit the stage the rain stopped.
For the second show, we had heard Frankie and Where the Bands are being sound checked and couldn't believe our ears! Who knew he would bring out these gems for us? First night Drive All Night was of course a pleasant surprise and return after 2008 and Cover Me is a personal favorite that has eluded me for years. My Love...was really good too. Waiting...was without any participation of children!!! Very nice.... When Bruce started introducing Jungleland...we all teared up I think. Jake did a wonderful job and was very emotional afterwards and got a big hug from both Bruce and Roy. I'm totally worn out now but will definitely recuperate before the Metlife shows! Setlist 27 July: The Promised Land Prove It All Night Cover Me Something in the Night My Love Will Not Let You Down We Take Care of Our Own Wrecking Ball Death to My Hometown My City of Ruins Spirit in the Night Girls in Their Summer Clothes Jack of All Trades Youngstown Murder Incorporated Johnny 99 Working on the Highway Darlington County Shackled and Drawn Waitin' on a Sunny Day Drive All Night The Rising Radio Nowhere Badlands * * * We Are Alive Born in the U.S.A. What a setlists! It's incredible how he keeps making sets that are interesting for the casual fan, the regular fan and the die hard fan by playing some songs on a mandatory base, some song that are more rare and then songs that haven't been played before at all. It keeps amazing me! You had 2 hell of a shows there in Gothenburg!
The more times I am seeing the incredible shows he is playing, the more I pity it he only came to play a festival here in Holland for the 2nd time in a row now. The real fans want him to come to a venue all for himself. The festival-show was nice but if you see what he's capable of it is a pity he 'only' got 2,5 hours to play there. I salute you, TS |
Those setlists are unbelievable...:D

That's a real Rock & Roll band right there. They play almost completely off the cuff and nail the songs every time. It's so refreshing compared to the choreographed static crap you get from most bands these days.
