Setlist from Friday night's Bruce Springsteen concert at Scotiabank Place (my first Bruce show):
The Promised Land The Ties That Bind No Surrender Hungry Heart We Take Care of Our Own Wrecking Ball Death to My Hometown My City of Ruins (The Rising) Spirit in the Night The E-Street Shuffle Jack of All Trades Prove it All Night Candy's Room Darlington County Shackled and Drawn Waitin' on a Sunny Day Drive All Night The Rising Badlands Thunder Road Queen of the Supermarket (solo) We Are Alive Born to Run Glory Days Dancing in the Dark 10th Avenue Freeze-Out Amazing show. Great energy and Bruce was quite the showman. He crowd surfed during Hungry Heart. Took two young boys from the front row and pulled them on stage to sing the chorus of Waiting On a Sunny Day. Danced with a young lady during Dancing in the Dark. Queen of the Supermarket was a request for an audience member. Springsteen came out after Thunder Road and told the woman that nobody ever requests that song and that the band didn't even know it. So Bruce figured out if he could play it and personalized the song for the fan, singing "As she bags the groceries, down at Sobey's". |
Sounds like another magical Boss-night to me!
Great to hear you enjoyed yourself! I salute you, TS |

That's a nice setlist. I think My Love Will Not Let You Down works very good as a show-opener and am surprised he did not start more shows with it.
I salute you, TS |
NBC Universal announce this morning that it would show a one-hour telethon and concert on its broadcast network and cable television stations on Friday night to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The telethon, “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” will be held at NBC’s Rockefeller Plaza studios and hosted by Matt Lauer, the co-host of “Today.” Bruce will perform on the telethon in addition to Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting and Christina Aguilera; Jimmy Fallon, the host of NBC’s “Late Night,” and Brian Williams, the anchor of “NBC Nightly News,” will also appear.
The telethon will be shown simultaneously on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA, and streamed live on the NBC.com website. It will be broadcast live from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time for the East Coast and on a tape delay for the West Coast. NBC said that money collected from the telethon would be donated to the American Red Cross. |
Bruce played a full bands version of Devil's and Dust on Veteran's Day. I doubt I could name a more suitable song to play on such a day. The arrangement is very well done for the horn-section and yet he kept it intimate. Really nice to see him still creating while on tour and bring out gems like this amongst the other ever-changing sets.
Inspiring. I salute you, TS |

I'm glad he's pulling out some of the Seeger Sessions stuff again, there's some fine work there.
Not sure about the Christmas song though  |
So I've got General Admission floor tickets for Bruce in Vancouver on Monday. Is it all first come, first serve? Is there a reserved part in the front that can somehow be reached?
Also - I plan on bringing a sign for either Hungry Heart or Murder Incorporated. I really don't give a flying two bit piece if they used to be played a lot, or whatever. This will probably be my first and only E Street Band show, so might as well go for it. |
