The whole Bruuuuuuce/Booing debacle really confused me at my first Bruce gig aswell. Maybe instead we should chant 'SPRINGSTEEEEEEEEEN' -No way to get confused then!?

bonjovi821 12-13-2012 02:50 AM

Maybe, no one should shout either Bruce or Springsteen because I do believe he's well aware of what his name is. :p

Planning to see Bruce at Wembley followed by Bon Jovi at Isle of Wight the very next day. Promises to be the greatest weekend in history!

This summer it was suggested that Bruce Springsteen may have to be without Steven Van Zandt for dates in 2013 due to the guitarist’s previous acting commitments. Today, Springsteen announced that Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine will take over for Van Zandt when Springsteen tours Australia in March.

Morello appeared on two tracks on Springsteen’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ album and has sat in with the E Street Band on many occasions over the past five years, including an appearance on NBC’s ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon‘ and two nights at Wrigley Field in Morello’s hometown of Chicago. Morello will also honor Springsteen at the 2013 MusiCares benefit next month. The lineup also includes Sting, Jackson Browne and gospel/soul legend Mavis Staples.

Van Zandt will be in Norway filming the second season of ‘Lillyhammer,’ in which he stars as an American mobster living in Norway. He will re-join the E Street Band when the band begins its European tour on April 29 in – not coincidentally – Oslo.

This will mark the second time Van Zandt has left the E Street Band since joining in 1975. In 1984, he quit during the recording of ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ for a solo career and was replaced by Nils Lofgren. Van Zandt rejoined the band when Springsteen re-formed the group in 1995 for the recording of new songs for the ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation.

It'll be interesting to see Tom feature in the whole set. Steve might not add a huge amount to the overall sound of the live show but his presence is huge. Can't wait to hear some of the jams that will come out of these shows :)

Total Bruce-mania here in the North now....
2 shows in Norway
3 shows in Sweden
2 shows in Finland
2 shows in Denmark

Hard Rock Calling 30 June at Olympic Park! it never stops!

DaveK 03-05-2013 11:50 AM

Definitely going to hard rock after missing out on wembley

IML88 03-05-2013 12:28 PM

Incredibly lazy booking on HRC's part. 3 times in 5 years!

I'm hoping this date means the crazy ticket prices for Wembley on the second hand websites will go down due to a lack of demand. I'd imagine those who missed out will go to HRC meaning you'll end up with more face value tickets for Wembley

Walkerboy 03-05-2013 09:27 PM

I'm intrigued to find out why BST_HydePark are tweeting about Bruce when they are in direct opposition..... AEG going to have to pull out a big gun for Hyde Park that weekend (I suspect one night is Paul McCartney).

DaveK 03-07-2013 11:51 AM

Just got my hard rock calling tickets in the live nation presale. Really excited. It will be my first bruce concert!

That sucks ass.

I'd never seen Bruce live before... Flew to Sydney to catch 3 shows there last week... OH MY GOD. BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE.

So glad you enjoyed it. It's a "not to be missed" experience :)

Back at work after two awesome shows in Stockholm. Night 1 we got the entire Born To Run album and Night 2 saw the entire Darkness on the Edge of Town album being dusted off. :-) then adding Mountain of Love, Leap of Faith, Open all Night, Better days and I'm a rocker to that including a guest appearance by Elliot Murphy during Dancing in the Dark, makes it two very special shows for me and the last one was my show No. 30.

Back at work now for a few days and then back to Stockholm again on Friday for the final show on Saturday, hoping for the entire The River being played but my sensible side says BITUSA, which is more than fine with me in that case.

DaveK 05-06-2013 06:03 PM

i'm hoping for a repeat of playing all of darkness at hard rock and my friend is hoping for all of born in the usa. No matter what he plays though i really wish the 30th june would hurry up

So jealous :p I am really hoping for some fall dates this year here at home. We shall see.
There is one really good recording up at dime of your show and night 1 is supposed to be up this week if you are interested.

Thunderstrucker 05-06-2013 06:22 PM

The May 4th show looks amazing! Awesome setlist!

I salute you,

Good, thought I'd gone blind! haha

Saw that Ollie (Dubbing_guy) was there so hopefully we'll get a nice bluray/dvd or two from the shows as well

Jim Bon Jovi 05-08-2013 08:11 PM

Not long till he gets back here now :)

I was talking about gigs we've got lined up in work today and I'm so psyched about Bruce and Roger Waters that I completely forgot I'm going to see Bon Jovi.

It does indeed. I am certainly going to check it out if it comes to cinemas here.

I salute you,

Thunderstrucker 05-29-2013 12:37 AM

And then I thought let's check the setlist for Bruce's show in Hannover:

http://brucespringsteen.net/shows/05...nnover-germany

What a great set this is!
'Roll of the Dice' opening the encore. I hoped for so long he would play that song again. It's still a month until he plays here but I sure hope he gives us a set like this!

Lucky Germans!

I salute you,
TS

Sambo-Chris 05-29-2013 01:36 AM

Just came back from Hannover and it was simply great.

Roll of Dice was a request from the audience. He wasn't sure if he can remember it first.
