K I've cheated a bit and listened to LOHAD on youtube. Love.

The e-drums sound a bit out of place but mainly because they sound like they come off a casio keyboard.

Is the grafitti with Bruce and the telecaster the album artwork? Lovin it if so.

This Depression is immense.

Love the guitar work on this album, very Morello-ish.

I always buy Bruce - but I couldn't resist an early download to listen to. I'm weak but I don't steal official stuff LOL.

It is morello, certainly on this depression and jack of all trades :)

Really love the idea of releasing 1 song per day till official
release I remember last album was streamed
on NPR music and few other sites before
release

Same here. Release day is going to be a bit of a crap day for me, I want to have something to look forward to after my exams. Fromwhat other people have been telling me, it'll be a good surprise :)

(That and my dad bet me £50 I won't be able to resist listening to the leak. That £50 pretty much pays half of my flight to the gig in Helsinki. Thanks Dad! :p).

Looks like few songs from bonus album are from Live in Dublin
with Sessions band

There is a bonus album to be released on
itunes that has 15 songs

Thunderstrucker 02-23-2012 05:06 PM

Ah ok. I ordered the special edition with 2 bonustracks. Im not a fan of itunes as i dont like their policy with downloaded files as I think they restrict too much, the quality of the audio and the fact i prefer to have a fysical copy so I find it a pity that only iTunes will have the 15-song-version.

I salute you,
Ts

Agreed - I'm not happy about that either. When I buy an album I want the full files - not mp3s.

Thunderstrucker 02-23-2012 07:45 PM

iTunes doesnt show the 15-song-version where I live either. Maybe an America-only thing?

I salute you,
TS

Neither does my iTunes. The tracks I see for pre-order are the standard 11 track album and then a 13 track album (standard album + 2 bonus tracks).

Jim Bon Jovi 02-23-2012 11:25 PM

WANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathleen 02-23-2012 11:43 PM

That is awesome - where did you find it? Is it an original?

Crushgen24/88 02-23-2012 11:46 PM

A bit out of the loop as far as the different versions go. Which retailers are getting what, as far as physical releases go? Is the special edition going to be available everywhere?

Where did you read about a 15-song-version?? never seen anything anywhere about that.

Malachy 02-24-2012 01:16 AM

Been giving it a few listens so far,

Favourite track at this early stage (usually takes a few weeks to get my favourite) but im LOVING Rocky Ground. Love the backing vocals right thought the sound, and the instrumental in the background is beautiful.

Had a google and all I found was something from that illegal site...and those bonus tracks (i.e. a total of 15 tracks) are live versions of Seeger Sessions + Wrecking ball, which to me feels like it just be something the uploader added.

Thunderstrucker 02-24-2012 07:53 PM

ordering mine via wowhd.com 14 euros for the special version shipping included. Most cheap one I found for me.
Pity I cannot buy it in dollars, then it would be even cheaper ;)
And it seems the 15-song version is a fake one then I reckon? I'm glad about that as it would be a pity if there would be a even more special edition then the one that is out for preorder now.

I salute you,
TS

milomom 02-25-2012 05:35 PM

Dear co-workers, I will be a crabby bitch next week due to lack of sleep. ;)

Tonight's episode hasn't even aired, but they've posted video of Wrecking Ball on the show's website - http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon....-27-12/1387743

I don't know if that's a U.S.-only link. My apologies if it is.

asok80 02-29-2012 05:29 PM

Kenny Chesney doing a very good cover of I'm On Fire on Jimmy Fallon's show last night -
http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon....ns-im-on-fire/

Jim Bon Jovi 02-29-2012 11:30 PM

Awesome version.

It baffles me how Johnny Cash managed to **** it up, it's one of those songs that takes a lot of effort to make sound bad.

Jim Bon Jovi 03-01-2012 12:33 AM

Not quite pay day but I thought I'd treat myself to some Bruce threads.

I don't do concert or album t-shirts so this is about as good as it'll get.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRUCE-SPRI...item905b7b04b5

Now I need to decide whether to wear this or my ShiteShirt(tm) to the Hyde Park gig.

There's been some nice covers of Bruce songs on Jimmy Fallon this week. It's nice to hear them in a different light. The sound quality and performance of each song has been brilliant.

I loved Kenny Chesney's version of I'm on Fire but I didn't care for John Legend's version of Dancin' in the Dark at all. It took all the teeth out of the song in my opinion and just didn't fit.

Exactly! Didn't like Legend's version at all.

ticos_stick 03-02-2012 02:36 PM

I think you were thrown by the jazziness of it all :p

I thought Legend somehow made the lyrics stand out a lot, he put emphasis on certain words and gave it a slightly more theatrical feel. The Roots backing was great too, although the little keyboard solo was a bit weird.

Jim Bon Jovi 03-02-2012 03:21 PM

Play.com have decided that for some reason they aren't going to accept any of my credit or debit cards (which I've been using to buy books, that t shirt and a bunch of other stuff all week with no issues....) so it looks like I'll be waiting for it unless I cancel the order and pick it up in a shop.

asok80 03-02-2012 04:59 PM

Picked up my copy today at my local record store. :-)
