I'm such a sucker for these type of movies...going to see it tomorrow night, opening night, after work at a theater in Times Square..lol!!

It's been trashed by the critics.

If the wife wants to go, I'll take her but normally I hate these kinds of movies. Too many story lines and not enough time for everyone to get a "fair go" on screen.

Halle Berry was going to be Jon's original love interest in the movie but a custody battle for her daughter made her take on the smaller part in the movie and then the part went to Katherine Heighl and she is the reason why Jon took the part. She asked him. Here's part of an interview:

Interestingly, it was Berry's involvement (she plays a nurse) that made Bon Jovi agree to do this.

"Didn't I say I quit this? I did! (But) Halle Berry asked for me to be in it and who in their right mind would say 'no' to Halle Berry? My wife even hi-fived me on this. And I agreed to do it," he said. "It was as simple as that. Of course, Garry Marshall is a living legend. Because of Halle and Garry, I said: 'What the hell?'

Jon accepted for that role BEFORE Halle Berry changed her part ... if Katherine H said that Jon accepted because it was her I'd say that it's one of those untrue things celebrities say because it sounds better than the plain reality

That is true, when Jon accepted the role Halle was playing the love interest. So he is telling the truth, he only accepted because of Halle. Katherine came on after Jon had got the part and Halle had to turn it down.

So was Valentine's Day and it made over $200 million. Sometimes crappy movies make lots of money.

I haven't seen the film yet, but just because the critics say it's crappy it doesn't mean that it is. Critics said Slippery When Wet and New Jersey and Keep the Faith and These Days were all rubbish too.

I've already seen the film and to be honest... I don't like it very much. The storylines are simple and Jon is acting like he's fooling himself. But we all know that he can't sing playback in a proper way. Just my opinion.
