Oprah presents Master Class Jon Bon Jovi
Did a search and didn't see this pop up, so I thought I would share. This is just Jon talking to the camera. I am sure a lot of it will be the same stuff we have heard before, but you never know.
Oprah presents Master Class with Jon Bon Jovi March 25, 2012 @ 10/9c on the OWN network Jon Bon Jovi is a rock legend, having sold more than 125 million records in his band's career. Tune in Sunday, March 25, at 10/9c to see Jon open up about their meteoric rise to fame and the dramatic lessons he's learned as one of rock music's megastars. |
well.....who is for watching this. the wife and i are expecting this to be quite good.
someone, please tell me what channel/website this can be watched and what time what is 10/9c mean for us UKers? |
Hope it can be watched in the rest of Europe too.
And also hope he's going to tell about special facts of his life and about the band's career we haven't heard about yet! |
Just some highlights for me. Others can tell their points:
Jon talked about how Alec was the 1st "real" rock star of the band & had all the aspects: the look, alcohol, drugs, & women. His "spot" will always be left open for & he won't be replaced. The Keep the Faith cover came about after the band put their hands together after a counseling session with a band counselor. |
Just watched this show, have to say I was impressed with the emotion, integrity, openness, and honesty I thought Jon showed in this show. Only couple of real unknowns came out, like exactly why Alec won't ever be replaced ( in Jon's mind this is his than you for Alecs loyalty to him and the band), and that the cover for KTF was the band after a final counselling session, agreeing they were "all in" for Jon's vision of them.
Here are some of the other things Jon said, talked about or let show. His love for his bandmates is unconditional, he's connected to them in ways he will never be to anyone else in his life. He believes people are more the same than different, no matter where they are from. He also believes that most people are generally "good". He believes that all of the Arts matter and should be encouraged, says they are necessary if the world wants to keep creating dreamers and people who can "change the world". He thinks that as a collective "we", people really can accomplish almost anything. He was very worried earlier in the decade about there ever being a new round of Dylans, McCartnys, or Paul Simons in the world but says now he is hopeful that with Youtube and no need for record deals to get their music out that maybe the viral plane will bring the new Bob Dylan etc.... says he sees some sparks that not all of music and it's artists are disposable in this disposable society we now live in. Jon admits to being laser focused and crazy determined, both in the past and now when he wants something, he still doesn't take no for an answer. He says to be a good leader you have to know when to take a punch, and know when to give one, be a good friend, a good listener sp?, and to know when to share the spotlight and when to take it. He knows hes been more blessed and lucky in life than any man should be and that he doesn't live in the REAL real world but visits it often, which is why he feels such a huge responsibility to keep giving back, aka the Soul foundation and kitchen etc.... |
I honestly really enjoyed the show. I'm usually the first to jump on JBJ for interviews, but he generally came off really good tonight, and seemed to talk from the man as opposed to the CEO.

Will someone please tell me how this can be watched on the computer now or later on today? Dying to see this how long is it?
