An optimistic album? who knew...

Anyway i'm looking forward to it like usual, despite their lack of recent greatness i usually find all Bon Jovi albums atleast relatively enjoyable

What the hell's the point in touring a new album before it's been released? Are they short of $$ or something? Talk about the perfect way to alienate your audience as nobody will have a clue what they're listening to when you break out the new material.

It's only a month, though I do see where you were coming from.

When he said tour in February, maybe he meant that's when they'd start doing a promo tour for the new album, which would make sense.

I guess I think it'd be cool to hear the songs in a live setting before hearing them on the record.

It's not the first time they would play new songs from an upcoming record before it is released. In April/May 1995 they played the new stuff from These Days even if the record wasn't released yet.

Plus they did a small promo tour before Lost Highway was released doing shows in arenas. So it's really not unheard of, a proper tour will probably be after its release. But it's really not unheard of that a band starts touring a new album before it's officially released....

If it's a small promo thing I can kind of understand it. I just couldn't get why they'd start a full stadium tour with no new record in the shops at that point in time.

It does make sense that it will be The Circle Part 2 though. Bon Jovi have always done albums in pairs. BJ/7800 were similar, SWW/NJ were the same album nearly, KTF/TD were new directions, Crush with Bounce, HAND led onto LH... It would only be expected that they would give The Circle a partner.

This made me chuckle, but in a good way.
I've always thought the albums came in pairs, and exactly as you described. It's only right for The Circle to be given its partner, if only to keep in line with this 'tradition' of sorts.

I'm more worried about the rushjob-like vibe I'm getting from the whole schedule.

I do tend to agree , but when they came off the slippery tour in 87, they only had a year off and wrote jersey and released it, maybe it was a fluke ! If that album would of been all nursery rhymes it would of still sold millions . At the time they were the biggest band in the world !

Not really expecting much from the record, I think we all know what we are going to get !!

That is actually the best news for me. The continuation of The Circle is exactly what I was hoping the new album would be. I am well aware I am in huge minority here, but I love TC to death. Now I can’t wait for it even more :)
