I take it the Aerosmith thing didn't happen? Would have been cool to see. New album ... The fact Shanks is producing dampens my hopes.

What Aerosmith thing?

I can get on the criticizing Jon bandwagon if there is a just cause for it but this is just overreaching here. That sounded like just an honest interview (albeit from someone who is understandably has a bit of an ego. Plus there is really nothing wrong with saying something you've done in the past has been successful. I found it refreshing the way he spoke about radio and the new record, he seems to be passionate about the music he's making now, even if it's not what a lot of people here wish to hear from him.

Jon mentioned they were meant to join Aerosmith on the second night of this iheartdaio event. I'm assuming that was a no-go.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Would have love to see that. My top 2 favorite bands. Im from the Philippines, dont get to see them live so such would atleast be a blast for me.

I dont care what the band say. Bon Jovi dont rock anymore and I doubt the new album will.
Not saying it wont be good but the days of them writing songs that will be on your radio for years to come is gone.

Who cares?

Do you think any of the music released by any of their peers (if there even is any) will be played on the radio for years to come? I don't think any music being played on the radio at all right now will be played for years to come.

People's definition of "rock" is different. I don't expect them to release 7800 or Slippery again. They're not 23 years old anymore.

You should listen to the new records by the Black Keys, Foo Fighters or Jack White. That stuff will never get old.
