Eeekk... some people are not going to like Jon being on this type of show (see the other AAA thread on here). Very business and charity focused from Mr JBJ the CEO, whereas lot of fans just care about the music and the tours..

I however, do enjoy this side of him. Its..interesting. But yes, a far cry from the goofy 80's era.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm sure people will flip out over his "crossover" statement (some of the new songs could crossover to country). Interesting that he and Kraft are so supportive of each other on business issues, when they must be diametrically opposed on politics.

See - I don't mind this side of him. I'm sure he can be full of himself but here in this interview he shows that he is doing something with his fame. He is using it to do something good - or to give back - however you want to characterize it. I see it as a good thing not a negative.

Only 11 songs on the album? Obviously, that could change, but it brings up a question I've always wondered: If they write so many songs for an album, why only include 11 or 12? There are bands that have 15 songs on an album. Bon Jovi always has bonus tracks (with the exception of The Circle), and some of those as we know have been better than songs that made the album. There is no money to be made from bonus tracks. Just give the fans what they want, which is more music.

I don't see it as a bad thing. I think the annoying part, for me anyways, is that I've seen every interview with him, and I've seen him say the same things over and over, and quite frankly, I'm tired of hearing about his charity work. I'm tired of hearing how he feels about politics. Talk about music, whether it be yours or the industry as a whole.

I didn't take it like that. He asked if there are 11 songs on the album, there's still be Track 11 if there was a 12 songs. He only said 11 because Jon mentioned wanting the first track to be as good as the 11th.

EDIT: I agree with your point though. Give me as many songs as you can.

These interviews are fine as he isnt there to talk about the music. It's all business and its in its right place. When the politics intrudes on music promotion interviews, thats annoying. But thats also down to the broadcaster, that interview a few weeks ago being a case in point where it was all charity whilst dismissing the music- yet the programme or interview wasn't marketed as such and didnt come across well at all.

Turned this interview off after 5 mins. This is everything thats wrong with JBJ these days. (no pun) I dont want to hear about his kitchen or his charity work - its great that he does it but I want to hear him rocking me with a new album. Do the charity work but dont keep boring us with it.

I just want him to be a fun guy who enjoys rocking but he isnt that anymore - even his hair is dull and business man like. (i dont want to get into a debate about his hair but the man looks anything but a rock star)
