Who would you most like to go for a pint with?

For me it would have to be Richie. I've never met any of the band, but from videos i've seen in interviews and his general persona on stage I think the guy is plain and simply "cool". He could tell you a few stories or 10 as well. I wouldn't have much interest in going for a pint with Jon as I think (to meet your hero) - in this instance it would probably be a disappointment. The guy probably wouldn't give you the time of day.

Has anyone ever met any of the band members? Any stories/opinions?

Great fan you are. He's finally sober and you'll be feeding him alcohol again. You might as well cancel the tour and call a rehab facilitation now.

Richie. I'd make sure he got a pint of Sunny D or strawberry milk.

But honestly, I agree with you, nickolai (!). I've always thought Richie was the guy who seemed the "cool"est. Plus, I'd just like to talk to him about the music and especially the guitar-related stuff.

I sort of met Dave once, but only for like 10 seconds at a Memphis event. Not enough time to get a true vibe.
Believe it or not, I'd love to go out drinking with Hugh. Has been there since the beginning (in some form) right until now, probably knows every story, but without any of the "rock star" hang-ups.
Plus, he plays bass.

Just a hunch

here - and I think the spirit of the question is "who do you think is the most down to earth and easy to get along with" in that group - David Bryan.

He seems to have a bit of an edge - I get along well with people like that.

I didn't specify alcohol. Could've been a pint of Sunny D (as Twinfan said), or Kaliber (alcohol free lager). But your response did make me chuckle. A bit

Was Dave cool about you meeting him? Because I bumped into him the day after the 2nd Dublin show last year at the airport, with my family all dressed in Bon Jovi gear and me holding a Sambora guitar and he literally shooed us away and left. Odd, seeing as I've heard he's usually very nice.

It was a public event, and a lot of people shook his hand and such, so it was kind of hard to tell.

David. As the years have gone by it has changed. Through the 80s and 90s, until 04-05 it was Jon... he was just cool back then... or at least seemed that way. Richie was always a close second... and still is.

Apparently Tico is not a good drunk and Richie shouldn't drink, so David. If alcohol wasn't a factor, it would probably still be David. He seems pretty down to earth and I think what he does when off the road is far more interesting than anyone else in the band (what Jon does is good and interesting but you know, he is a businessman now).

Ah, okay then. The odd part is we met someone else who was on the FC trip with us and they said hi to David not long after, and he said hello back. He wasn't in a rush or anything either, just standing there. Eh, whatever.
