Lost Highway on Wild Hogs
 

...so I've just watched Wild Hogs and heard LH at the end of the film...and it's different. Less country, more rock. Is this a version of the song before they decided to give the album a country vibe? It actually sounds pretty good!

Really? I remember the excitement over it and taping it on my cell phone for the board. I don't remember it sounding any different than the released version. Is it online anywhere?

I think its the same, but they just used the chorus at the end part which is more "loud". I remember being shocked to hear it. Great movie!

This video has the song in a higher pitch. Was the pitch higher in the movie or did the uploader just change it for copyright reasons?

The way it's played at the end of the movie just sounds different - even to the youtube video above. Maybe it's just the mix but it definitely sounds different

kleman - it was a question if anyone knows if it's a different version not just that it sounds different. I'm always quite interested in the history of songs before they appear on an album. Wild Hogs was released prior to LH the album and with this sounding like a less country/more rock version it's interesting to see the direction they may have been going in before they decided to add "a bit more country" to the album.

There definitely is a slightly different version. I have it. Actually, had it since before LH was even released. I didn't think this was news. The end is a bit less twangy.

I remember when that version was being passed around. All I heard different was some noodling at the end. I definitely didn't keep it when the actual version came out, that's how little difference I heard.

I DO remember the movie sucking though.

Wanted was part of the movie as well, it was played in the part that Travolta destroys that harley bar.
