Which Greatest Hits tracks have held up the best for you?
Remember all the hype going around for some of the Greatest Hits tracks just two years ago? But then there was the disappointment of them not staying around in the sets very long. My question for y'all is which ones have held up their quality/listenableness (that is now a word).
For me, none of them have. I loved This Is Love, This Is Life at first, but quickly got bored with it. If I had to pick a track that stayed with me, it would probably be The More Things Change. But even that has barely given me any recent (and by recent, I mean within the last 18 months) enjoyment. |
I'd have to say my feelings now are as they were upon their release. I don't love any, but i don't hate any of them either. Perhaps my perception of What Do You Got? has improved, not that i disliked it in the first place, but i recall as a forum we were rather hard on it.

This Is Love... is easily the best tune of these and actually a good song. Then No Apologies (okay for what it is), then What Do You Got (meh) and The More Things Change (bad tune).

Used to love TILTIL when it came out, getting rather bored by it now. Actually I somehow started to relate a lot to What Do You Got? and at least rate it much higher than I did back in 2010.
When it comes down to live performances I'd have to go with No Apologies - heard it twice on the last tour and it rocked the night every time! |
More Things Change is still one of my favorite post-00 Jovi songs.
|
No Apologies is the best of those four. I still listen to it on regular basis.

I only had the standard edition of the album so didnt really listen to the More Things Change and This Is Love, This Is Life much and i dont really turn my computer on and think im going to start a shuffle playlist with What Do You Got

Loved TILTIL when I first heard it, but bored with it now. What Do You Got has held up well for me.

Aloha !
I've still got to buy the Greatest Hits. I downloaded it, gave the new songs a few spins but thought they were absolutely rubbish. No Apologies worked well as a live song though, but it's not my cup of tea and the lyrics make me cringe. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
I don't think I've listened to 'This Is Love, This Is Life' yet. And that's based on the other three.
I'm never overly-negative but each song was awful. Truly awful. I listened to the other three once and that was enough for me. |
