Jon to perform at Obama rally in Iowa City (free tickets)
|
Interesting, I thought he wasn't getting involved this year.
Do we know anything about the political preferences of the other guys in the band? I know Richie played some gigs with Jon on the Kerry campaign. Then again, Alec said on some radio show that it's just Jon who is a liberal. Just curious. I'd actually think Richie is a republican, he simply strikes me like that type of person. I could see Dave & Tico both being democrats. |
Richie said something recently about going when Jon called him to do the stuff for Obama's campaign, so I think he's a Democrat too. I heard something years ago that Tico was a Republican, but I don't remember the source. Actually, many years ago Jon said he was a Republican, but that changed around 1992. I have it on tape Jon saying, "I vote Republican but I have a Democratic heart." The first President he voted for was Reagan.

You watch. It will be done. |
This is funny as I'm currently watching The West Wing. Who should pop-up in last night's episode but Jon campaigning for the Democratic candidate. He loves this kind of stuff.

I half wish/ half fear this could be an opportunity for Jon to premier one of the new "socially conscious" songs off the new album.
