No Hall of Fame Again
 

Nice to see Rush and Deep Purple nominated.

New York, New York (October 4, 2012) — The nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 are:

· Randy Newman
· N.W.A
· Procol Harum
· Public Enemy
· Rush
· Donna Summer

i guess they will be in there the next 4-5 years. when the time comes i hope they will reject it, its an honour but in the end of the day its politics and a group of people who pull the strings...bj arent the most innovative or pioneeer band for sure, but they are the only band who isnt inducted yet that makes popular rock music for 3 decades, keeps getting stronger, hasnt become a nostalgia-reunion etc band and is trully popular in a woldwide base...the public interest and the people who show up in their tours year after year are far more important than some critics who think that by bushing bj their professional intergity will rise...:middlefi:

Can't believe Deep Purple and Rush were NOT inducted yet. I mean, it's DEEP PURPLE, what the hell. If they're not in it, then no one deserves to be there. John Lord died recently, that's what reminded them probably. Such a joke of an institution that Hall of Fame.

Honestly I did never even hear the names of half of those bands. Chic? The Meters? N.W.A? WTF!?

Of the few bands I actually recognize on that list and in my eyes the only two worth being inducted into HOF are for sure Deep Purple or Rush.

And Kraftwerk - rock & roll? Am I missing something?

I maybe agree with 6 from that list, but that would be pushing it. A few I have not even heard of, and I am pretty well versed in the music world.

Next Year, Jedward and Bieber for the Hall Of Fame, who's with me?

Well, Procul Harum's 'a whiter shade of pale' is one of my favourite songs...but I couldn't tell you one other song or album by them.

And Kraftwerk aren't exactly Rock N Roll are they?
