UK Ticket Prices Starting From £12.50?
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...ItIq1o.twitter
According to the Mirror, tickets are going to start at £12.50. Of course, that will be for the seated area, but if they're that cheap, then let's hope that the standing/gold circle are cheaper too. |
Sorry, just seen that this is in the Upcoming Bon Jovi tour thread.
Apologies. |

Of course, I'll hold my applause until I see official confirmation of this, and the other prices, but at least it's a step in the right direction |
As good as it sounds, its still just a sensible business decision and not some big moral crusade, that and Jon doesn't want empty seats staring back at him in his stadiums so will flog the worst seats at cheap prices to fill it out so he can hit the targets and ''sell out'' the tour etc.
Its a simple strategy really, and all the other prices have actually gone UP, so I bet if you crunched some of the numbers they are probably charging similar if not more than last tour to the overall fanbase. They can't do the cheap crap seats thing at Slane as it is just a big field, so have hit us with 70+ euro for a standard ticket. If it really was some moral stance they are taking, then we would at least have some cheap tickets set aside for Slane too, but don't. Andi |

Its a marketing ploy, like having a sale with the s*** no one wants but you end up going in anyway and buying something at full price. |
Well, £112.00 for a GC ticket is about in the price range I was expecting (£100.00 - £125.00), so it could be worse.
|
The cheap tickets is because there's no way they'll fill a stadium charging £50 or whatever it is to sit up in the gods.
Making a few bob is better than nothing... This is the first tour I'm having serious issues with the prices. I don't think they're that much dearer than the Cicle tour (I might be wrong right enough, I can't remember) but to charge £70+ fees for a standard ticket in a stadium when there's a recession on is bullshit. The money isn't an issue and I'll probably be daft enough to pay it anyway (though I'm not getting suckered into GC or DC tickets) but a lot of bands and tickets have gone down in price over the past year or so. |
totally agree, seem the band 8 times and spent alot of money over the years but having to say no this time, reccession on and i cant see how they can charge £73 quid for a basic standing ticket.

It's priced that way only so that when Philip Schofield puts Jon on the spot on morning television again over ticketing, Jon can turn around and say - hang on, we've got some of the cheapest tickets around. It's a marketing ploy that is designed to make the band seem humble by 'increasing affordability' but offsetting any losses incurred from those limited ticket numbers by hiking the prices of all the other tiers.
The Circle Tour was £94 for GC last time so it's gone up by £16. If I go at all, I'll be getting cheap GA nearer the time after they're forced to lower the prices and angling for a free upgrade to help them fill their empty pit! |
