Talkin of Mancs 11. Considering that everyone was already soaked and it was known so many would be making the journey down south that night for Hyde park the following day I did feel that the band could have given more during the encore at mancs 11, they seemed very rushed to get off stage and the gig ended in complete daylight! The willingness to have stuck around an extra ten minutes and crack out a couple more tunes would have gone a long long way for me!

It didn't end in daylight. They came on stage half an hour early I remember because of a curfew.

I remember I chose to go to that show over Hyde Park because it was a festival and thought Hyde Park would be restricted to about 2 hours.

True. The rain probably made it seem darker than it was!

I think the gig at Villa Park will be interesting. How long has it been since they were in Birmingham?

Also, thanks to Aston Villa for giving me a good laugh today ;)

Well my OH came home this evening and informed me he has brought me GC tix for B'ham...
I'd figured I couldn't go this time but here we go again - quite pleased but not sure how I'm getting there and back etc yet...
Looking forward to it though!!
Not been to Birmingham since we stopped off there when seeing BJ at Mayine rd in 1996!

The place hasn't changed much. Its still a shit hole, except the bull ring is now decent.

I take it you're travelling from down south?

Usually match day there is a football train special running to and from Birmingham New Street station. I assume they'll be doing the same again for this concert
