Don't talk nonsense. The bitching is why people read!

Here is the iTumes Apple chart from around the world and it's selling. It's either one or two. In the US it's at number 1 and in Australia 1. If Bowie hadn't released his song, it would have been number 1 in all countries, I think.

Another article saying how it's shot to number 1

I honestly would rather this song got nowhere near the charts because I don't want people to know that this is the work of Bon Jovi.

I gave it another listen. It just leaves me with a sour taste.

That's probably the saccharine.

I don't quite get that. Just take any poor U2 album (I mean something RS reviewed 4,5 stars), put Bon Jovi on the cover and replace Bono with Jon and it would instantly get 1,5 star. I don't care about what people think about my listening to Bon Jovi because I know nothing will change their prejudice against the band. That's our cross to bear  And sorry for my poor English...

I listened to the song a few times today and got to say it is catchy! I hope it does well at radio.

I will be interested to see what other songs they release before the album comes out! I expect the others will be quite different to this and appeal to different people.

I think because you can is a fun song and had it just been an album track and not the first single maybe more people would enjoy it (in the context of an album), not comparing the two songs but kind of how 99 in the shade is for New Jersey! If that makes sense?

But in my opinion I don't think it's a bad song, it's upbeat and different to what I expected, I will be interested to hear the other songs once released.

Maybe, yes.

But U2 sucks nowadays. Anyone outside of a U2 minion would agree with that. Just like anyone outside of a Jon Bon minion would admit BJ blows. The difference is U2 had some critical acclaim that was (I guess?) pretty well deserved back in the day, whereas Bon Jovi never did. And critics are still more respectful of Bono than Jon Bon, probably for better and worse.

But any poor U2 album has better lyrics than anything by Bon Jovi.

Jon is not in the same league as Bono.
