Bon Jovi in Lisbon, Portugal - 26 June 2013

http://blitz.sapo.pt/bon-jovi-em-lis...ilhetes=f84369

ticket prices: 59-170 Euros. This is how things are run in this f*cking country. The worse things get in our economical/social situation, the more expensive things get, namely concert tickets. Whatever happened to that low cost ticket thing they suggested for the UK?! the UK ?!?! really ?!?!?!

Yvonne 11-06-2012 03:55 PM

They had an offer on German tickets also, after the presale. You might want to keep checking as they have had cheaper tickets for various other countries too.

59e works out to £47.00, so it is still quite cheap.

And if the quoted 170e (£136) is for Diamond tickets then that is comparable to the UK which were I think £125 +charges comes to about the same price.

Yvonne 11-06-2012 08:02 PM

Presale tickets through the FC are roughly the same as the UK tickets.

dewey1961 11-06-2012 08:33 PM

lisbon dc ticket only USD 172.34 each including charges,so cheaper than the uk

you're missing the point here. I'm complaining about the low cost tickets that will be sold on their UK tour which are apparently absent from the Lisbon gig. and my point is that unemployment is so high around here and life is bad at the moment and possibly for the next 20 years that I think it's only fair that people get the chance to buy cheaper tickets. I'm not complaining it for myself, I'm complaining it for other people.

Isn't the Lisbon venue all standing? The only reason some tickets are £12.50 in the UK is to fill the very back of the stands. I can't see how they'd work it out without crap seats in Lisbon.

What could they do... Oh hang on, if you buy this ticket for £12:50 please go and stand at the back theres a good chap. Of course they will just work themselves to a better position unless they are penned in at the back of the hill:(

I fly out on the 26th. Get there early morning then out for a beer or 2 before joining the DC later in the day. Second time in 2 years in Lisbon for me, I kinda like the place. Some nice bars towards the main square and coastal area. I will stay a couple of days before hopping on a flight to Milan for the next leg of my euro trip.

Roxannah 06-24-2013 09:00 PM

i'll be doing GA for the first time since the introduction of the circles. it will be a view i'm not accustomed to but at least i'll be able to see the whole stage and production, something i always miss out on.

since Madrid's show will take place the next day and is sold out, i'm having very low expectations regarding this show. which means i'll most likely be pleasantly surprised.

for those who are going, don't forget the sunscreen! it will be a very hot day.

Thanks... I remember 2 years ago it was also hot and I was in line getting sunburnt. I believe it is going to be even hotter this time. Expected 33c/34c(93f)

someone posted these on Facebook a couple of hours ago and i was sent the link... could this be the 2011 stage? i don't see any reason they wouldn't bring the Buick.

Maybe that's just the 'skeleton' and they add extra bits later? I have no idea really but like you I can't see any reason why the car stage won't be used.

Budge 06-24-2013 09:18 PM

I believe this is the car stage and those pictures do just show the skeleton. You notice the 2 big bulky areas either side of the main stage area.. these are where the big headlight parts go for the buick.

Supersonic 06-24-2013 09:20 PM

Yes it is.

Is it me or is the stage located at a different place than last time?

that's what i initially thought as well. considering there's 2 days to go, i assume there's still a lot of work to be done.

Bounce7800 06-24-2013 09:40 PM

I'm pretty sure it is the car stage, just without the Buick Bonnet attached to it yet. Need to get all the screen behind it up and running before chucking it on.

nop, same location dude.
It really saddens me that I'm not going. But I stay true to my convictions. No Richie, no BJ. I refuse to attend it.
Still sad though.

Dave88 06-24-2013 09:51 PM

This is not the car stage.. seems like they've rented Bruce's stage for this show:

http://i3.ytimg.com/vi/BpOeMNQqhQk/hqdefault.jpg

I guess that with the Madrid show being added, they couldn't bring the car stage because of "logistic reasons".

Dicanio 06-24-2013 11:58 PM

Deffo not the car stage in the pictures posted on here earlier. The car stage doesnt have a roof on it...

Roxannah 06-25-2013 06:11 AM

these are the guys opening up for Jovi:

Brass Wires Orchestra

they were handing out some promo cds at the end of the Mumford & Sons show a few months back. i threw the cd somewhere and never really listened to it. something in that sort of style is what i'm guessing we should expect. could be worse, i guess!

No offense, but who cares if you don't "stay true to your convictions"? If you're sad that you're not going, then try to find a ticket to go. It's not like Richie or the band will find out, and it's also not like you'll lose a bet if you do.

ezearis 06-25-2013 07:10 AM

I think you're actually lucky not to have the Buick, at least you're going to be able to see the band :p

Agree, it's pointless not to do something that I'd make you happy because of your convictions. And I seriously doubt Richie's going to find out you went ;)

rightsideofwrong 06-25-2013 07:46 AM

If you're a fan of the band just go to the show if possible. There are band members giving it there all up there, and there is one that isn't. Not trying to diss Richie, I miss him to death, but personal opinions aside we have no clue why he's not there. Just speculation that does not look too promising. Don't short change yourself, or the other band members if you really want to go. If that's the case then I don't see how you're really a fan of the band, rather then just Richie. Regardless of why he isn't there, all bands face issues. Don't abandon them because of it. If it all works out in the end it just adds to the story of the band. Tons of people are going and managing to have a good time. I'm sure you can too. Have some fun and go jam out. No shame in it.

rolo_tomachi 06-25-2013 01:33 PM

Who cares if or not it's the car, this is why I do not like this tour. Without his Buick seems that the show is not worth it.

I understand a bit what you think. I share your conviction, but I'm not sad about it, because for me it would not have any sense to go to a Bon Jovi show without Sambora. I would be sad in this show, as thing is to see "wanted" without Richie, and other songs that sound more as Jon solo tour.

I do not want to convince anyone, it is my opinion, this is how I feel. It is what I want, and could not enjoy a show like this, with or without Buick, I'm going not.

In Madrid show will be the Buick, I guess Jon wants to make a clean up their image, and sacrifices Lisbon Show that will have less impact on the media (press and news). But for fans Portuguese is a bitch, they paid more for the tickets.

TheseDaysEra 06-25-2013 04:11 PM

so let me get this straight: we don't get the Buick, nor Richie Sambora and yet we pay the whole price while Madrid fans don't pay squat.
Now that's what I call valuing fans ! **** off Jon Bon Jovi, you miserable t*at. I hope Richie doesn't come back. you deserve it.

ezearis 06-25-2013 04:15 PM

Still, Jon said that the Buick is the stage for stadium shows. This doesn't look like a stadium at all, which would explain why they aren't using it.
