Do Europe Shows Sell Out Fast?

Hey guys, I'm from the states and I will be studying abroad this spring and I plan on attending the Munich and Slane Castle shows. My only question, should I get tickets now or do I have time to spar? I have no preference regarding seating.

Thanks for those who have experience in these events.

no usually you can get tickets outside of the stadium...those 2 concerts though will probably sell out as months go by imo so i would buy my tickets 1 month before the show

You should be fine for Slane tickets anyway. Im sure they will be available right up until the gig.

Aloha !

European shows haven't sold out in the past 10 years, I wouldn't worry at all. And if Golden Circle tickets sell out right now they'll release a lot more a few weeks before the show. I've bought most of my tickets that way in 2011 and did 7 shows over here. :)

No way San Siro, Milan, will be sold out. Indeed the risk is for a 35/40.000 attendance which would be a disaster (for live nation, obviously)

The stadium has a capacity of 65.000 for concerts.

All the people should consider this before buying the ticket. Plus the acoustic at the third ring is very poor.

I've not seen a seating plan myself but apparently the stage wil be positioned in front of the main stand at San Siro... So it will be side on rather than being at one of the ends. So already that will have cut down the potential capacity drastically!

Certain ticket types may sell out, but you will be able to get into the gigs themselves with no problem.

I also noticed on the seating plan that the Milan plan seemed to be sideways on, as opposed to the stage pictures Ive seen from other acts.

That's the best compromise ant the typical solution for concerts in S.Siro. All acts put the stage in that position. that's the only grandstand with two levels instead of three.

But the capacity is still high (65,000k). I think it's a bit limted in the field for security reasons.
But the big risk of that gig is tha BJ in Italy has not that amount of followers available for the concert. Last year they did a gig in Udine with an attendance of 40,000 people (not sold out but almost...the capacity was 45,000) but 15,000 came from Austria, Slovenia, Croatia etc.

I'll be there...the last tour I attend was the bounce tour in 2003...then BJ has become flat in terms of new records and live performances (not that 2003 performances and boucne record were that great...) and my interest went down. San Siro is 40 min from my house and I follow BJ since 1988, so I feel a bit obliged to go....but it will probably be my "farewell concert".

The only artists that can be 90% sure to sell out San Siro today are Springsteen and U2.

Then....I don't think Live Nation is made by assholes, so probably they have their reasons to make that choice, but believe me, it is extremely dangerous.

The cheap tickets are for the seats at the back of the venue, once they're gone they're gone I'm afraid.

People shouldn't be worried about tickets selling out, ebay will serve you well in the unlikely event of a sell out.
