kekko21 01-03-2013 01:49 PM

My prediction is a normal setlist made of hits + Because We Can and maybe What About Now.

bonjovi90 01-03-2013 02:06 PM

There's not a word on the site that new songs will be played. The new single at best, but that's it then.

schlochty 01-07-2013 03:18 AM

I actually live in Stuttgart. Rumours about this show have been flying around locally for few weeks now. I am wondering about the motives to put on the show. The band must be in Europe anyway so it's either to promote the forthcoming album (a bit too soon) or to boost ticket sales.

It's promotion for the album and tour.

Someone mentioned that they may be in London to do another radio 2 type gig, this is all I know at the moment.

Hope they pick better songs that last time. That setlist was dull and predictable plus it was performed with as much energy as an asthmatic ant carrying heavy shopping. Dreadful.

They are having a ballot for tickets again. Jo whiley is giving details on her Monday night show.

bonjovi90 01-15-2013 03:21 PM

On a German website there's a quiz where you can win tickets to the show. One question is quite hard though - who wrote the intro to KTF? I never heard anyone talking about that specific part in an interview. My guess would be Richie...the credited persons for the song are Richie, Jon and Desmond.
Does anyone know that for sure?

I'm afraid they mean the bass line which is kinda an intro to the song.. atleast at the shows. And that was written by Hugh (and played) but it is not that much of an official information. Hugh wrote in Q&A on his website once.

Officially written by Hugh? Maybe in actual fact it was but I dare say the answer is more likely to be Alec. Perhaps their testing your knowledge of when Alec was replaced (if the answerer even knew about Alec).

Simon 01-23-2013 03:24 PM

I've seen that quiz too and the answer they wanted to hear was Hugh McDonald. I don't consider this a fair question, since he's not even credited and who knows what he might have said in some q&a way back.

Supersonic 01-23-2013 05:28 PM

Aloha !

Isn't that kind of the point of a quiz aimed at die hards though? Only the ones with the knowledge of these things related to music can be considered the biggest die hards I reckon. Not the ones able to answer whether Jon's wearing boxers or briefs, or what the name is of the latest single etc. I really liked how they spiced it up a bit. And just for the record; if someone doesn't know the answer it doesn't make him or her less of a fan, but just someone who doesn't know as much of the band as the one who could answer all questions. :)

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Thanks for the info, do you happen to know if this is streamed on the Radio, just the Radio audio was way better than the Red Button Live Feed on the BBC.

I don't know for sure. They also posted alternate links:

you can watch a live vidoestream here

http://www.swr3.de/musik/bon-jovi-ha...f3o/index.html

or here

http://www.jumpradio.de/programm/aktion/jovi108.html

or here
http://www.hr-online.de/website/radi...tmc=bon%20jovi

or here
http://www.radiobremen.de/bremeneins...autnah100.html

but since they all have the same source,it doesn't matter where you'll watch it.

Are these going to be listenable outside Germany?

Looks like poor Richie is looking for the sympathy vote? Where are all the conspiracy theorists on here to say ''zomg, Richie is eating and staying on his own, Jon hates him/the band are breaking up!1!'' etc

And back on topic, I'd assume the radio broadcast is listenable online for anyone? But would be nice if we could get confirmation.

Andi

It's on now. Sounds like they're playing soundcheck.

Just a few minutes now, the DJ is filling the last minutes with useless banter and adverts. I've really missed listening to German radio, great song selection there with their "dance classics". It sounds as if they're a few years behind on what's popular. But then again, so are Bon Jovi. :p

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Budge 01-26-2013 09:31 PM

Same set list... Doh.

Ricky Skywalker 01-26-2013 09:32 PM

Maybe they'll play I'm With You this time :)

And Jon sings much better than 2 days ago...

And here's the videostream:

samboraisgodUK 01-26-2013 09:32 PM

Jesus how loud is Jon's acoustic?

EDIT: that's better.

TBoy 01-26-2013 09:33 PM

Hope someone records this becaouse quality is so much better and it looks like we'll get new songs too. :)

And Richie's guitar is quite low, too. But I kinda liked the acoustic that high.

Ha! I thought exactly the same - you can actually hear him for once. They seem to have fixed it now though.

Agreed, sounded quite nice actually playing the arpeggio.

Sound quality is much better tonight.

Yeah, that's the German radio;)
No seriously, just the usually 5 songs over and over.

samboraisgodUK 01-26-2013 09:38 PM

So we've gone from Dave's keyboards being way too high on the BBC to almost non existent here haha

Captmorgs 01-26-2013 09:38 PM

Because We Can sounds good.

So far Richie's off though, he wasn't faultless during Lost Highway and is out of sync during this single. They're even picking up on it as he's put lower in the mix halfway during the song.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

GabrielC 01-26-2013 09:40 PM

Because We Can sounds like a church song live.

RS8MB0R8 01-26-2013 09:40 PM

Crowd is much better tonight as well. As much of a stinker BWC is, they're still getting into it. :D

Jup Sambora is really sloppy quite a few ****ups during Lost Highway and Because We Can, which is not quite rocked science.

Kathleen 01-26-2013 09:42 PM

The sound keeps cutting in and out too - ugh :(
