An absolutely brutal set list. No flow, no logic, it's almost as if Jonny boy is daring people to walk out. I'm one of the few people who really love WLOL (the best song off LH by far I think, certainly the only one that achieved a true country feeling), but Jesus Christ! The third song in the set? Where is the logic?

If the bulk of your setlist is going to be post-2000, at least choose your better tracks. Yes I like the Circle, but can you really justify one of the least inspired songs in your catalog (WWBTF) being placed towards the end of the set list? Why not reprise LTOR since it was probably the only song off the Circle they figured out how to make work live? If you need to intoxicate your set with Lost Highway shit, why not throw in Any Other Day? It's pretty bad when even a song as dubious as Complicated would spice up this set list to me, because it's so bloody slow and soft and boring.

Personally I think all the new songs are abhorrently bland and boring, and I would dare to attribute the shitty sets not just to Jon being a lazy cunt, but also because they help make the new songs stand out more. They are generic-sounding and uninspired, and thus need to be buffered by more recent material so they sound "louder" than they really are. The Becuz Wii Kan tour is a train wreck in the works.

I know, I know, the setlist might be bored but are you actually asking them to play more hits?! The ones that were bitching about how some hits should be dropped to let place to some new songs or other songs? In The Circle Tour people asked for them to play more songs of that album, they're doing that but it seems that you want them out now. Really, what it takes to get you all happy?

The Circle's setlist were great and this might not be the best ones, but instead of bringing back the same songs they've played a thounsand times, I'd love to hear others. They dropped BTBMB, great! Now add Get Ready that sounded great on the Circle Tour, or some others songs. As they found out a great way to play this one, they can do the same with other songs.

Yeah, I'd love a tour without so many hits. I'm not saying "Drop Wanted, Prayer and It's My Life" because that's stupid, but there's a lot of others that can be dropped and that have been played on every single your since they were released. What I'm trying to say is that most of you are saying "drop the hits!" "WAIT NO JON, NOT THOSE HITS I LIKE THOSE!".

And also, Runaway is not a top 10 single as its been said before. And is, again, a song that's been played on every road. I love it and it sounds great live, but really, give it a rest.

And about the new songs, again, yes, this is a support tour for What About Now, not a greatest hits one, so it's great that they're playing new songs and a lot of them. It doesn't matter that the record isn't out yet, they are promoting the songs on the tour they've started to promote those songs.

I pretty much agree with everything you've said here. But Jon can't play 6 or 7 (new) songs that haven't been released yet with songs like Lost Highway, WLOL, and WWWB (songs that have never gotten people on their feet) and expect the show to not to get dull for the average concert goer.

I would have gotten my money's worth with WITW and the new songs, but I am not the average Bon Jovi fan. I have no problem with only 5 songs from the 80s, but I have seen them on nights when they played more songs from New Jersey alone.

I think there are two criticisms here I agree with... the flow and the (for the lack of a better, less offending word) laziness. They are not playing LH, WLOL, and WWWB because they are hits, fan favorites, or because they work well live (like WGIGO)... they are playing them because they are easy to sing, they keep Jon locked in place, and after 2 and 3 tours they are comfortable playing them, despite hearing crickets... I believe all three reasons are equal. After all, why not switch out any of those three songs for Next 100 Years, Any Other Day, or if it must be a single Say It Isn't So? It's easy to sing and you can't tell me it wouldn't go over any better.

.

My knowledge of charts is lacking but Always, LYHOM, Bed of Roses, and Blaze of Glory (just to name a few) are all big hits that get played occasionally to semi-regularly. I haven't gone to a show the last four tours and expect to hear the original version of any of these as oppose to the other hits that they actually play regularly.

I understand people bitching about the Lost Highway songs in the set (and I don't like Bad name as an opener) so keeping yesterday's set BUT with the following changes would be nice for me:

1.Lay Your Hands On Me
2. Thorn In My Side
3.Whole Lot Of Leavin'
4.Because We Can
5.That's What The Water Made Me
6.Wild Is The Wind
7.It's My Life
8.What About Now
9.Love's The Only Rule
10.We Got It Goin' On
11.Keep The Faith
12.Amen
13.The Fighter
14.Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (acoustic)
15.Army Of One
16.We Weren't Born To Follow
17.What's Left Of Me
18.Wanted Dead Or Alive
19.Damned
20.Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars
21.Bad Medicine

Encore:
22.In These Arms
23.Have A Nice Day
24.My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms
25.Livin' On A Prayer

I know it's sci-fi for some of the songs, but anyway :) That's not a lot of changes.
I wouldn't remove any WAN songs.

I started to feel bad that i bought a ticket to tampere, finland. This setlist is the worst that i have ever seen. If the tour continues even little bit like this, i have no interest of seeing them.

LYHOM was played regularly, sang by Richie on The Circle Tour, but it was played on almost every single night it was even sang by Jon when he was on rehab. Always it's played semi-reguarly, maybe because of how vocal demanding it is, but we can't deny that he's singing it more since 2008! And about Bed of Roses, it's played on at least the 50% of the concerts of the tours. Blaze of Glory is a JBJ song, they aren't obbligated to play it, though is nice to listen to them live as to have a surprise like Santa Fe.

Edit: What I don't get about Bon Jovi is that denial of sing b-sides or bonus tracks. Coldplay does it regularly, for example, and the fans know the songs.

steel_horse75 02-11-2013 10:32 AM

The setlist will change from country to country and by the time they hit UK - Boom - they will be in full flow.

NicoRourke 02-11-2013 10:39 AM

I don't get people saying this ain't the rock band we used to know, with good sets and all - during The Circle Tour they were on fire and played some really good sets.
We're die hard fans, so of course a generic setlist is not going to please us :)

Robd788 02-11-2013 11:01 AM

Never thought I would say this but; god that set is missing I'll Sleep When I'm Dead and I'll Be There For You!

SuperBrad 02-11-2013 11:02 AM

Anyone know if there is some sort of cool intro type thing to start the show before bad name ? Loved the circle tour intro ...
