Aloha !

All these setlists people are posting now are rather silly and most of them are by no means better than what the band came up with. Living In Sin as the third song? My Guitar Lies Bleeding as the last one?

I think that ending is amazing!

Quite like the Bad Name opening aswell!

It was good until Bobby started doing what was supposed to be his guitar solo. What he's doing is such an anti climax, and it's just ruining an otherwise spectacular ending.

Though I can get over(or I'm already used to) song choices,it's early in the tour, Jon has his anti nostalgia mask on etc etc. but I don't get how suddenly Jon lost his big rockstar frontman charisma and starts the show with so much slow songs, with lacking flow and logic through entire set. It's like trying to lose audience on purpose. It's a little too late to become something you clearly weren't for the past 30 years. Either he realises this, and again makes peace with his music, relevance and fans, or is it a slow and painful demise of once upon a time great rock and roll band.

Don't mind him, he does not know better.

I was thinking the same thing. By comparison, check out the opening of a recent Def Leppard show:

Or a recent Motley show:

Those are bands (and frontmen) who are ready to go and still want to kick ass.

He's lazy and doesn't care what the fans think anymore.

It's good if you're a die hard yeah, if you're a casual the one the band played will be deemed better considering it has a better flow.

This is your setlist in terms of familiarity:

And this is the one Jon came up with:

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer your set over the one the band played, but when looking at what the band presented theirs is better. Just by a little bit though. It's still shit. :p

Another very well constructed argument. Bravo. If you've got nothing to add to a conversation but sheer negativity about me then save it for the PM's you could send me instead. You're not doing anyone any favours by going off topic simply because you're frustrated about one poster.

This set is better than the Washington circle set from 2010 and in any case the band usually play it safe for the first few shows.

bonjovi90 02-11-2013 02:42 PM

It took Jon until Bad Medicine until he finally used the stage:
I like Richie's solo in here - in Bad Name his guitar tone was quite awful to my ears.

And I love it when Richie does this guitar intro to Prayer...
