New Jersey 25th Anniversary...
I think the band had a real opportunity here to play new jersey in full followed by another set. For example
Lay your hands on me Bad medicine Born to be my baby Living in sin Blood on blood Homebound train Wild is the wind Ride cowboy ride Stick to your guns Ill be there for you 99 in the shade Love for sale Because we can Thats what the water made me You give love a bad name Lost highway Its my life What about now? Always Whats left of me Who says you cant go home Have a nice day Encore Im with you Wanted dead or alive Livin on a prayer 2nd encore These days Keep the faith This could have worked... |
All these discussions about playing full albums.....we all know it's never happenin' (unless they're in a Lost Highway mood). I think only Lost Highway has been played fully. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Never happened. It would be too "nostalgia" for them, not to mention Jon couldn't sing half the album anymore. If you want something like this, go see Def Leppard or the Crue. Crue did it for Dr. Feelgood and the Leps are currently doing it for Hysteria. Awesome by both bands.

If Tempest can sing like , everyone can do their old hits. |
Bon Jovi is nostalgia.
No one would pay a ticket if they didn't play the 80s and 90s classics. |

They're not nostaligia, sales and hits show it. Period. |

And Joey Tempest does a fine job, I can't see anything to complain. Sure, he's lost some of the highest notes, but nowhere near the amount Jon has lost. Plus, Europe is still an amazing live band. I've seen them live 4 or 5 times since the "comeback" and every time they've been great. Quote:

Why is Jon so hung up on "not being a nostaligia act"? Those old songs are the reason we all love the band and the reason he is where he is. Jon needs to know that their is nothing wrong with playing the old stuff. SWW & NJ & TD are iconic albums with epic songs. He's forcing the "I'm still relevant" on people.
