2 graphs showcasing the order of album and single tracks. A peak indicates the chart position in the Billboard Hot 100, thus a crowd possibly knowing such a song. The more peaks, the more familiar a crowd is with the entire set. In case no peak is noted the song either didn't chart or wasn't released as a single.

The first graph is of this show, the second one is of the previous time Bon Jovi played Washington:

LeaJovi 02-15-2013 07:14 PM

Did u guys noticed how the greatest hits new songs disappeared?

wolffex 02-15-2013 07:25 PM

I expect the setlists to be very different as these two shows are like special fanclub shows or something. They did something similar in 2010 in Australia and played different tracks which were requested backstage. Then again Bon Jovi is always known to playing great setlists in Toronto with a surprise or two.

I'll be there both nights, will be the first time my sister and brother in law will be seeing Bon Jovi live. Will definitely be taping audio and most likely video if security is lax like they were last time

I don't know the names of the new songs but I am guessing something like this maybe:

night 1:
Wanted, Prayer, Bad Name
IBTFY, BTBMB, Bad Medicine
I Believe, KTF, Sleep
Saturday Night
These Days
Captain Crash, IML
Radio
HAND, Home
LH, Memory, WGIGO
WWBTF
New Song 1,2,3,4,5,6

Night 2:
Runaway
Only Lonely
Raise, Wanted, Prayer, Bad Name
BOB, Bad Medicine, Wind, Sin, IBTFY
KTF, BOR, ITA
Hey God
IML, One Wild Night
Misunderstood
Home
Thorn
ILTT, WLOL
New Song 1,2,3,4,5,6

Bounce7800 02-15-2013 07:47 PM

I'd say you're being more than a tad optimistic for night 2 but I'd love to see you get it.

ezearis 02-15-2013 07:48 PM

So, I should move to Toronto or Australia?

Panda 02-15-2013 11:22 PM

Dude, if you're going in hoping for I Believe, Hey God and Homebound Train, I feel like you will only leave disappointed. Go in expecting a Washington DC kind of set, and if it's better, then yay! But looking at the first night of Montreal, I think that's what you're going to get.

There was a Q&A for the fan club trip and a fan I know gave Jon her perfect setlist; As a challenge, Jon took it, and read it, and said Ok I can do this or that but not that etc etc ... so the following shows were pretty much with those requests ..but something like that is NOT usual(let's say extremely rare) ...I also saw Jon getting requests at O2 at the pier when they arrived, on each day show- yes, they did perform ABOUT all THE REQUESTS, by the end of the residency, but I am not sure the Toronto 2 shows will be really different than the Montreal shows...

I wouldn't count on any 7800º songs from now on. Jon included them a few times during the last tour, though reluctantly I'm sure. He hates that record and to be fair, so do I.

TheseDaysEra 02-17-2013 06:37 AM

they MIGHT throw a couple of songs they haven't played so far on this tour, such as Dry County, Last Man Standing (they haven't played it so far have they ?) and perhaps, Something for the pain acoustic or Always though the first two I mentioned seem more likely than the later ones.

A bit of a shame.. Only Lonely, Hardest Part, In and out of Love,.. I don't know, I quite like that album.
I know some people thought it was a terrible performance of Only Lonely and Roulette last tour, but I absolutely loved it.

SuperBrad 02-17-2013 08:52 AM

Sydney night 1,2and 3 were freaking amazing .... And yes jon took a list from a fan at the Q and A .....

Miracle 02-17-2013 06:36 PM

I'm going into tonight's show with incredibly low expectations...and that's the first time I've said that for a Toronto show.

well Roulette's off the first album so no complaints there :P I loved the fact that I witnessed them playing Get Ready in Lisbon !

So far this is the Lost Highway/What About Now tour I guess, what weird setlists. I especially don't like the Circle songs that stuck.

just like I said about 7800º, I don't think they'll be playing those many off The Circle. I think that apart from Born To Follow and the odd WWWB or Superman (all three were singles) they won't throw a lot of them on this tour, I guess.. as for Have a Nice Day songs, they'll probably play its title track and who says, that's it. Bounce tracks ? not even sight of them. Or These Days' songs though those will come up later in the tour. The only recent album whose songs seem to be staples are those off Lost Highway. It's my life and Capt. Crash off Crush. No say it isn't so in over 10 years. do people REALLY crave for Capt. Crash that much? I actually enjoyed it in Lisbon as I've always wanted to hear it live but what's the necessity of repeating it so much ?

Yvonne 02-18-2013 12:17 AM

I think that Toronto will get better setlists (so far) They brought a nice surprise to Toronto in 2003 - Heroes and I think its been played there in recent years too, it'd be nice for Jon to play it again, heres hoping haha.

On a more serious note, the sets will probably be the same with These Days, Living IN Sin, Thorn In My Side and Dry County (yawn) to be played. Its a fanclub trip so there will be surprises some people will like and others will not.

Everyone who is going have a great time :)

Oh how horrible that would be.

Yvonne 02-18-2013 12:33 AM

Just looked, Heroes was also played in 2006, so it could happen haha.

Richie even sang Stranger....

Stranger things have happened :)

superkid 02-18-2013 12:48 AM

Doesn't Las Vegas always have Fanclub trips, and those shows are usually nothing out of the ordinary and too short? I don't see how that is much of a factor. The setlists will hopefully be a small improvement from Montreal with some structural changes. I don't see them playing anything rare, other than WITW, especially on the first night.

Yvonne 02-18-2013 01:05 AM

Maybe they will get a good set because I am yet to see a bad one from when the band have played in Toronto.... Only time will tell

Ever an optimist...

I think there was a fanclub trip to Orlando too, and they got nothing special. In any case, I don't think the fact that there is a fanclub trip will be a factor. If they get something different, it will be because it's Toronto. But I fully expect the "Night #1" setlist tonight.

I don't recall the set i saw in Toronto in summer 2011 being all that great. The only real rarity was damned. The encore included Hallelujah and I Love This Town. They didn't LTOR either, which was/is my favorite track off of The Circle.

lol to hear Damned I could probably forgive all that. one song that's always evaded me. Same with This Ain't A Love Song.

Each to their own.... But you must be the only one on this board?

I don't think there's a day goes by where I don't have the guitar solo stuck inside my head. I don't want it to leave, either.

Jovimimi 02-18-2013 01:49 AM

I think that more than the Fan Club Trip factor , the DOUBLE SHOWS back to back factor give the shows a chance to be slightly special, and then, the combination of both is going to optimize those chances ... BUT, this said, this tour I am not expecting really better than Montreal....

I went to Montreal and Toronto regular shows in February 2003 and I got Damned TWICE / no double show no trip show ...
I think with Bon Jovi the best is to never take the excellence of a city or a venue or even an audience for granted (unfortunately) for example here in europe Munich or Dublin were supposed to be the best shows and lately they are NOT anymore

Ah its ok, quite a few people know I am not a fan of the song and prefer others. I do think it will get an outting either today or tomorrow though.

I agree with all my heart. I would love to have DC at all of my shows. It is just a masterpiece. Period.
I really hope it gets played in the next 2 shows. It was played on each FC trip on TC tour I think. That is why I chose Dublin last time because I wanted to hear this song for the first time. And it worked :) I still get chills when I think about that moment :)
